Single class only is only possible for the Short category. Melee only will not be able to deal with aerial units and Long only will never have enough ammo to finish a mission.

Ahhhhh ok gotcha. So essentially like Front Mission 1st, Short is more powerful than Long and Fight, got it lol

@@RavenShield88 That was not the expected interpretation lol. Fight is actually the most powerful in my opinion. But you can't win with Fight alone because you literally can't target helicopters and jets. In my playthrough, I use 7 out of 12 units are melee.

Lol ohhhh I see. Hmmmm I might have to check into the Fight units and see how that works for me in another playthrough. The Short is going to be my focus for now.

No this is not xcom. Snipers just like other weapons have highest accuracy from point blank, but their accuracy drop-off is only 2% per tile as you go further. As opposed to say a machinegun whose accuracy drops 10% per tile as you move further from the target.

To be honest, the game has always cheated. If you remember in vanilla, the imaginary number missilers with a missile and a machinegun equipped, they go over the weight limit too.

@@Warlord4Hikage That's not cheating though. Theoretically, all enemies can have skills, upto 6 slots. If they have a bigger computer, not that would be something.

Depends on where you are in the game. Early on, not many options. Check out the Battle Skills Acquisition Guide for detailed info.

​@omegamaelstrom1001 Such a great game, didn't like it at first due to the level up system not being present, and the lack of classes. However upon learning how to level up stats, I think the games level up mechanics are actually really good. Ti's a shame that not many people really enjoy it enough.

I played FM4 after FM3 so the snipers were a very pleasant surprise.

I didn't really have high expectations. So far the remake appears to be a downgrade in every possible way. Still gonna buy it.

Load the save file in vanilla Front Mission 3 (not Reload). Then you can move forward, save and then load back in FM3 Reload.
