Believe it or not in other parts of the world they think our normal everyday cars are cool. we americans think bmw and mercedes are high end cool cars, but the Germans have mercedes benz taxis and bmw police cars. No different to them driving a crown vic :) they think its cool. The reason german imports are high end in the states is because of taxes on imports, it doesnt make any sense to sell the cheap bmws and benz's etc when theres a giant tax on top, it doesnt compete. This is why toyota, honda and nissan all build cars stateside, you can import all the parts you like for free but importing whole cars is expensive. look up diamond star motors for some more crazy import tax shenanigans.
