I love, love, LOVE me some beans and rice! Best thing I ever did was stumble on one of the giant Instant Pots by pure chance on Amazon when it was a super cheep price. I already had a smaller cheep electric pressure cooker that I liked real well, but the Instant Pot kicked its butt and I can sure enough make a big ole pot of beans pretty dang quick in that thing. I was so happy when I finally discovered the "parboiled" rice, it just cooks up so nice and almost foolproof? Tried several brands and haven't really been able to tell much difference between them so I buy the Walmart "Great Value" brand. Pintos on the other hand?... I have for sure been able to tell the difference and always buy the Casserole brand, never any "bad" beans, rocks, bugs, etc. and they even seem to me to cook up better and taste better as well? Cheep eats that can't be beat for a dang good tasty and filling meal! I flat feel sorry for the folks that have never experienced the joy of a big ole bowl of well seasoned Pintos & rice? They have no idea what they're missing out on for dang sure!
