I share stories about my adventures, epic wildlife, and the gear I use to make it all possible.
I have a few trail cameras set up on Vancouver Island specifically for recreational purposes. I am NOT a hunter, nor a trapper!
Also, my hope is to help educate people about wildlife in their natural habitat and to develop an appreciation for them. #respectwildlife

Brown Bear SCARES AWAY Another Brown Bear & SLIPS - Hyder, Alaska (original audio)
Young male brown bears gets scared away by Scruffy, the larger and older male brown bear.
Tension was high that afternoon at the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Boardwalk, because it looked like Scruffy wanted to fight. Park Rangers estimated the young male to be about 5 - 7 years old. Whereas, Scruffy is about 8 - 9 years old and has reached sexual maturity (hence the dominant behaviour.)

I just got back from my trip up in Alaska and I'm excited to share some awesome footage! Very beautiful footage! Just curious are there any restrictions with getting in the area? Last time i tried getting to Chilko river lodge in 2021 there was a gate about no trespassing due to title lands..
@@bearlycamping thanks! There are gates around some of the river, but there are sections of the river you can access by foot or quad. (Tight and rough sections). But, it is on First Nation's land so it must be respected at all times. I am First Nation's myself and I haven't had any problems. Just have to stay away from the locked gates and cabins.
@@bearlycamping there are some signs with gates, for example if you drive through the little village in Tsuniah Lake you can go through but make sure you close the gates. They're only there to keep horses/ farm animals in.
@@bearlycamping I've been going every year since 2021. This will be my 3rd year, I'm heading out in September 2024. Can't wait!
@@wildlifetracker1994 Okay thanks for letting me know! In regards to the gate, am I allowed to go through it if I'm staying at Chilko River Lodge? Wondering if First Nations has to be notified somehow.. anyway I think I know that quad trail you were on which I suspected would have Griz sightings and was proved right thanks to your video lol
