Great review! I have a Wildwood special run Memphis 330 and I love it. Really fat neck...1958 style i think. P90's are soooo much better than humbuckers for clarity and bite. There's a downside of Memphis guitars though. Both my Wildwood 330 and a 335 Studio I owned developed cracks in the upper bought. 335 on the back side and 330 on the front. Very sad, but the 330 is still a keeper for me! Antique Natural finish with flame maple...yowsah!!

Looks like you may need Gibson to do a Custom build for you with a thicker neck and different nut material? I know Tusq makes the best replacement nuts, so that's an option, if you really want to modify it.

Fantastic review! My first guitar was a hand me down 1959 es-330T sunburst from my older brother. I regret trading it away for a Gold Top Les Paul in 1981. I just purchased the 2024 es-330, such a Great guitar! Love your demo and review. Top notch!

Hi great review i have recently bought ES Les Paul I noticed on my tuners they are stamped on the back with SNDELU are they original I thought they would have Gibson stamped on them .

Switch to a g formula bridge saddle for better feel and tone. Love mine tho.

Awesome review. Well, Gibson has just released the Es330 back in 2024. And guess what? I just ordered one😂 I used to own a 2015 NOS with Bigsby.. sold it like a stupid GAS nerd I am.. it was a hugely good guitar. Seller's remorse at it's peak after realizing every single guitar I purchased after that was just not THAT guitar. Well, I hope the new batch is on par.. waiting for the brown truck has started

I have the walnut finish 330.

I really thought I was looking for a 335 style instrument.. but I’ve been realizing I might scoop up its hollow body brethren… something about that touch of warmth.. 330 is a special one!

I had a Casino USA and a Heritage 530 enjoyed them both, but ultimately landed on the ‘64 335 VOS and sold them. I never experienced the squeal but could ride the feed back like the Nuge and loved that. But Im for lack of better terms ultimitely a blues Dad rock guy, so the 335 was a better fit, I do play in an indie duo occasionally, and usually clean the 330 would work well with that but I prefer my junior or just a strat if clean through a JC120. But honestly my 335 covers almost all ground I need to cover, especially blues and Dad rock, and the custom shop build and neck, pickups and the finish of the ‘64 VOS is everything I could ever ask for. And it never gets old and will always be relevant. But the 330, has lots to love, P90’s are great.

I had that exact guitar and the Explorer 70s. I loved them, and I sold them both. I'm buying the Custom Shop Explorer.

VLooks like you need somebody to adjust those pickups differently if you're ever going to get that bite in atomic power that's going to reach Alpha Star Base # 5.... yep I'm going to have to get one of these because I got the blast off

I like the original creations were guys use Common Sense to build a guitar , take a look at the very first fenders and Gibson's and you will see crude work but they make complete sense when it comes to power and perfect tone

Excellent review. People often say the 330 is not famous because it's not linked to esteemed players, unlike the Casino. This is just not true. As this review notes, Grant Green's sound is pure 330. Also modern artists like Johnny Marr and Radiohead have worked magic on this model. Gibson should bring it back in small runs. Modern cheap Casinos are junk compared to many similarly-priced hollow bodies, and their pencil thin necks are just terrible. I'm with the reviewer. Give me chunk. Give me a 330. Sold mine is a state of madness some years ago and in the market for one again.

This video is everything I aspire to be but am too lazy to do. I'm 5 minutes in and feel like this already took you a month to film record and edit. Incredibly talented man. Great playing and the intro was hilarious.

That thinline tele with zebrawood back is really cool. That back is beautiful. Have you stopped using shellac? I was having a compatibility issue on a finish recently and tried to use shellac as buffer layer and that reacted with the nitro clear too. I scraped the whole headstock and ended up using some acrylic enamel I had because I was fed up. I normally use nitro but I have to say I like the way the acrylic enamel dupliclor clear worked.
