    Would you be able to create a list of base Citrix settings that you recommend. I am currently creating a new environment for Citrix DaaS and would like to have a clean, minimal, fast logon process for our users as well as easy management from the server admin side of things.

    • @adrianioja9935
      @adrianioja9935 2 месяца назад

      I can give you just a few recommendations, because every environment is different : - You absolutely need profile containers from Citrix or Microsoft FSLogix ( the user profiles are simply to big these days and if you have Office 365 then the containers are a must) I would go with the full profile container so this means that the user profile is completely saved in the .vhdx disk. - Make sure you also have the “Delete locally cached profiles on logoff” Enabled ( the C:\Users should always be empty if no users are logged on the VM ) - The exclusion and inclusion of directories is something that you need to test ( you can go with the defaults recommended by Citrix ) but you also need to know what applications your users will use and what files these application create. A lot of applications create big cache files that are not needed from one session to another and they should be removed at log off. - Another important point is to have a schedule reboot for your servers especially if you have multisession OS like Microsoft Server 2019 - 2022 ( once a week should be fine ). From my experience if you do not reboot weekly you will encounter a lot of issues. - You should also implement a RDS time limit, you can find this in the Microsoft GPO or in the Citrix GPO. This is for Microsoft : Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Remote Desktop Services → Remote Desktop Session Host → Session Time Limits ( you can play with this settings depending on you environment, just as an example if you have an idle session for 3 hours you should log off the user to release the resources used by that user ) I hope these recommendations will help you
