I heard about a couple of teenage brothers playing around with a HV single phase big utility transformer in the basement of their house and doing this same thing, with a sudden short circuit when the current was cut from the grid while headlamps connected......the headlamps glowed for three weeks by themselves and nothing connected to grid..

Hi TimTron, I was reading that when electrons pass thru a static magnetic field, it can make them travel in a curved path causing them to gain extra "spin" energy . I have tried with passing current thru magnets Hans Coler style, but it's not easily observable, for me anyhow. I was wondering if this is related to the effects you describe with the Pig Pole transformer?

OK so my biggest question now is does this wind down over time? Because if this can stay running after putting out more energy than went in then we just proved once and for all that a magnetic field DOES indeed contain energy of it's own capable of doing work.

Wow, thanks for this demo Tim. Using just a off the shelve 3 phase transformer, well done. Do you remember if it made any difference that additional transformer laminate that you cut off and put on top of the transformer? Did you do that on both end of the transformer or only one end?
