I remember y'all wanted to go somewhere and I was unsure about Chris going. I talked to Bobby and asked him if he would make sure Chris was safe. He said of course. I told him he was one of the only people that I would trust Chris would be okay with him. He was so sweet and sincere. He told me not to worry because he would take care of him. I loved all you kids. Bobby was so good.

Thank you for documenting your values and your distain of the last 4 years for now and for posterity. Thank you for your art. Old and new. Punk has been and will always be an entire genre that started in rebellion against Reagan’s authoritarian conservatism that tried to: -Tax poor more and super-wealthy nothing to make rich stay richer (trickle-down economics) -Use religion to control people’s lives and tell them how to live. -Use religion as a justification to tell women what they can do with their bodies -Push lies that weed is bad for you. There are some who say punk is never political and doesn’t take sides. That they fight all authority. That’s total bullshit. It’s not just against authority for the sake of being against all authority. It’s always been against BAD authority of using religious beliefs to control people’s lives. Take away their right to choose and forge their own path to find their personal way. Some things never change. The authoritarian religious conservative right has and always will try to cry about their religious freedom being taken away but be the first to take away everyone else’s rights who don’t live the way they do. I’m so happy punk in general has never strayed from that straight and true path. Thank you Descendants, NOFX, Bad Religion, and on and on for being that true North Star of righteousness of humanity. Punk still lives and is strong. We need more bands like this. Forever fighting against the fascist ones who would try to rip that independence of choice from you to install a dictator that will take it all away (and ironically if the Orange-A-Tan had succeeded, he wouldn’t share that with anyone. It’s he who would see gun-rights people as a threat to his power and take their guns away for real. Punk forever.
