Valdy is playing in Fredericton, N.B. tomorrow night. I have my ticket. Saw him in grade 12, at a little High School, Opeongo High, in Cobden Ontario, 1973-74. He was wandering the school halls, and I looked and said Holy Shite, that's Valdy!!! That's Valdy!!! Anyhow our Principal got him to perform for all the students that afternoon. All I can say is when he climbed up the stair, to the stage that was there.....there was nothing missing!!!

Wonderful. I first saw Valdy perform was, I think, at Uvic in 1972. He was the warm-up Act for Chilliwack. I listened to his amazing performance and to this day, still think that he upstaged that awesome band ! I was blessed on another occasion to come face to face with Paul V Horsdal as I looked up from my register to sell him a 10 inch reel to reel tape in 1975 at Queale Electronics. Over the years, I have loved his music, and now it simply brings tears as those cherished memories return with his strings. Thankyou from a fan of a half century.
