Stuff like this frustrates me, because they will spend a billion dollars making some crappy game everybody forgets about in a month, but they won't fund these types of visuals. Imagine what a billion dollars could do with artists like this. We have yet to see a truly great modern pixel art game. They've got some amazing stuff don't get me wrong, but nothing on this level.
