Your way is way too complicated and the results and disappointing, if you invested the same time in making a line based family for example the results could have been slightly advantageous

I thought Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM) is all about using components readily available to provide an accurate model. This tutorial is a BIG LET's FUDGE IT so it looks right! Same goes for lots of tutorials I have viewed on RUclips, not just this one!

This semester in studio my professor would like us to create timber arch type of structures (similar to Sheffield winter garden) and I was wondering if it is possible to model something like that in revit? Not the best way to do this at all. You need to change the family catagory to window once you have made it then it loads and cuts properly as a window and will cut the hole etc at the same time. Why are you cutting the roof with a opening?

Its too random , does not work all the time. you see even he was struggling to place individual mullions. Revit needst to get its program working. We pay too much money for the program and wasted time to get it to work!
