The punch, the fire effect, the camera movement and angle, and Chakravartin's movements and legs shaking after being punched at 35:30 are all perfect parallels to the same punch Asura gave Deus to defeat him.

Asura punching through the superplanet at 8:05 is always really deep to me, since Chakravartin basically stole a huge planet probably full of life. You can see that it's turned gray but has deep shapes in it like continents and oceans where the land and water used to be. Asura takes a quick glance at the surface before pushing through, remembering the indifference Chakravartin feels towards anything below him.

Vanity is the expression of worthlessness/futility, so to express that outwards is to be completely focused on the self, ignoring any emotion except those that give yourself joy, and that also feedback loops. There's no power in it save for the ability to do what others would find disgraceful.

There is nothing cool or angy there. There is only sadness and fits of rage.

It's a little disingenuous to say Asura is characterized by anger and just plain mad. "Wrath" is more like the uncontrollable shakes and tension you get during a tough argument or when someone does something bad to you. Asura's emotion of wrath gives him power in that form, and it is a feedback loop that makes him stronger and stronger. Tension begets strength, and strength becomes tension. It's why he is so powerful, and that emotion is why the others can't understand him except for Yasha, who is melancholy. Yasha, when finally pushed to the edge, experiences the feeling of not having done enough in the past. He feels the self-resentment and opportunities he missed out on while convinced he was doing everything "for the cause" at any cost. Only when seeing that Asura keeps getting stronger the sadder he becomes because of what Yasha and the others did to him, does he awaken to what he has lost, and that melancholy creates a feedback loop of its own, similar to wrath. It's also why his mask is so important to him, and why losing it helps him gain power.

In a absolutely perfect game, the spoilery preview parts before the next chapter always are upsetting. They spoil too much information and absolutely should be skipped.

11:48 - 11:59 On the recolor issue, I agree with you, ESPECIALLY with Guard Armor. The Heartless's recoloring removes any [aesthetical] menace that their mere presence once had. I heard somewhere that "they" changed it because most of the Heartless's original colors were the same/too much of the same. Even if that's true, I think it's a stupid reason to do so.

This game is just pure absurdist Japanese humor. Don't even question it. :) The king uses the "we" pronoun because he is royalty. It's just a weird feature of English called the "royal we".

And all good things must come to an end.

I love how Asura is like, "What has my life become?" when random guys are popping out of portals and challenging him.

I always thought it was a nice touch that the ghosts are in line with how close they were to Asura. You had Durga, then Yasha, and then his master Augus. Everyone else was a more noticeable distance away because Asura didn't care much if at all for them. And I adore that Asura punching god in the face created the Big Bang of the Street Fighter universe.

I think in the last fight with Yasha he knew he was going to die and since his Mantra is melancholy it gave him a boost (hence the glowing blue). Also the final bro fist is always great to see.

Fun Fact: The DLC ending was intended to be the story for the sequel. However, the game bombed so the sequel was canceled and the released the remaining story as DLC.

I really do wish they straight up made an Asura's Wrath anime. I gurantee people would watch.
