this is not Hatiora gaertneri of which is called an Easter Catus! this plant is nothing like it wrong family
Thanks for your comment. Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri, synonyms Schlumbergera gaertneri and Hatiora gaertneri.
Beautiful flowers😍❤❤
Thanks for visiting
Wow, totally stunned… came across your video and can’t believe how great it is! So much great info, thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! ✨️💖
Amazing...but The only problem is I read it only blooms in the fall. Just Beautiful tho.
Mine have bloomed all summer.
Got all the way to the end and had to back it up 5 minutes because I realized that I didn't hear anything you said for a lil bit. I was distracted by my brain screaming "MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT. MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT. MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT." I appreciate the info you shared. Orchids are beautiful but I have always been a little intimidated by them after I killed one when I first started trying to grow plants. I may never try again. But at least I know if I do I can come back here to this video to get some tips by staring into your big brown eyes all over again. 😂
haha thank you!
My, my, you have so many plants, I love it😊
Yes, thank you
is this only cuttings or can you put a whole pot in the bag as well?
Only cuttings
Haha i cut off ugly leaves too 🤣
100%
😮
✨️
I don't think that I heard anything about how you dealt with the spider mites
I use predatory mites.
Rip
🙏
Why do the leaves turn down and away from the lights? The stems are firm and it’s growing a flower but it’s constantly turning downward
I can't really help without a photo, but I hope you find out.
Too much direct sunlight
Love this! Such beautiful word. 💛
It really is!
That carnivorous plant is beautiful
They are amazing!
Excellent to buy from LLG. They are the best. Hope the plants did well for you.
Yes they are!
Were you able to identify where the mites came from? This is an excellent video. Succinct, to the point. Thank you. Did you trade leaves from an unknown source? Or buy from a local, uninspected source?
I had violets coming in from all over. There is no way to trace it back.
Wishing you the best for your AVs. I enjoy your videos. A good series you might enjoy is called "All About African Violets" on RUclips Hosted by Annie Reick @plantastix
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
I just bought one. Thanks for the video.
Hope you enjoy it!

My flowers like egg shell water. I rinse and then collect the egg shells in the refrigerator. Once I get about 3 dozen I boil them. Then bake them on 325 for about 30 minutes. After the water is cooled I use it as plant water. I crush and then blend the eggs shells with a coffee grinder to use as a natural fertilizer for the lawn. Just an FYI 🙂
Do you grow hibiscus?
@@plantastix No. I had to choose flowers that would not cause any possible sickness because I have a toddler that likes to eat everything that is not food. 😋 I chose the simpler flowers like Shasta daisies, tickle-seeds and other flowers that can really just be left alone for outside. Inside I have African violets. Once my toddler is older I will get flowers like the hibiscus because they are just so big and pretty. I really like your wall of flowers. The deep colors and striped leaves are like a beautifully eccentric blanket. Garden and sunroom goals. 🙂
Looks beautiful…and poisonous. 😬😋
Just looked it up. It is edible but might cause diarrhea and vomiting in people that aren’t used to eating it. 🙂
💖
I was gonna say gorgeous but someone already said that sooo BEAUTIFUL!!
They are unreal!
Gorgeous 😍
Thank you! 😊
凄く綺麗です!!
❤️❤️❤️
Orchids
♥️♥️♥️
What is the name of this particular one? It is LOVELY!!💖
NOID
Is that a lemon lime maranta? Beautiful!
I do have a lemon lime, but this is the black maranta. Is is back from the dead - I bought it and then realized it had mealy bugs.
Wow cjute flover❤
Thank you!
Can we see your violet collection?
I only have 3 right now. I lost them to broad mites.
@@plantastixHope you have better success in the future. I enjoy your videos. Did you find the source of the mites? Maybe from outdoor plants?
@@Charity-vm4bt I didn't find out.
@@plantastixthanks. Your videos are really helpful to learn the symptoms of INSV and of mites.
What do those bugs do when they are done eating spider mites?
The same thing we do after a meal.
@@plantastixI think he meant, what if there was nothing more to eat and their job was done?
@@ItsJustGravy Oh, yeah their population dies back and you will still see the predators months later.
love this. I see that the piece of wood is a "general purpose corner guard" - but what are the measurements? thank you!
I don't recall. I just cut it to fit.
real ☘️🌱
thank you!
It’s so beautiful 😮. Makes you say WOW!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
@@plantastix your very welcome 🤗. And have a happy Saturday 😊💐🦋!!!
So cute! 🦎
they are precious!
What a beautiful selection
Thank you!
How beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
😊
Thank you!
Orchids are my favorite. I would love to see more of your orchid videos.
Brilliant!! I was thinking about using a metal bar, aluminium. Do you think that’d be ok regarding heat or could that be an issue?
A ceramic heat emitter is recommended. I'm not sure what that is.
@@plantastix i had a look. It seems these are used to generate heat
I love the roses that have that color as a base but have darker shades on the edges and inside. My favorites.
Me too! I found this at Whole Foods of all places for just $10.
Beautiful
⭐️💛
Do you close the lid? If not, how often do you let air flow in?
It is always closed, but it is not airtight. There are holes drilled in the top to hold the lights.
Bellissimo,come danza bene!!🎉❤
Thank you!
I love that burgundy violet! I need one of those sucker babies!
They are pretty. If it is the one in the thumbnail of the video, that is one I found at Walmart.
perfection!
💖⭐️
Love your wall. Do you have a video showing how you built it?
Yes, it's available to youtube members exclusively.
I see this is an older post, but perhaps you could answer a question for me. I have 6 African violets I purchased from Violet Barn a year ago and six months ago. They were all beautiful and healthy looking and all grew rapidly bloomed. They had large leaves and most the plants had leaves which were all more upright than I'm familiar with. Gradually, all but one don't look so good. I can find no evidence of any insects and there are no spotted leaves using a magnifying glass and also banging the pots over white paper. The new leaves are coming out rather jammed together and small in the center of the plant. Older leaves have curled edges. Also, some of them have a sparse leaf arrangement and long stems, except in the center. The bottom leaves on some of them seem to have soft stems that bend over the side of the pot as though they need water when they don't. Also, those plants with the upright long stems had blooms that were more under the leaves. Does this sound like INSV or some other disease or problem?
It sounds like broad mites. It seems to be a growing problem, but without looking at the plant, I cannot tell for certain. Shiny and easily breakable leaves, distorted and small innter growth, and the sick look are symptoms of mites. They are micriscopic. You cannot see them. Please discard the infected plants. I did not know for 2 years, and wasted so much time and money trying remedies before I purchased a microscope and found out what they were.
@@plantastix Thanks a million for the reply. Since all plants but one seem to be infected, I removed that one to another room. That may be infected too but we'll see. It's a shame. They were beautiful plants. I'll look those little buggers up. Thanks again.
@@jjbud3124 I'm happy to help.
Love the plant wall also. ❤
Thank you! 😊
@@plantastix it's beautiful ❤️. The plant wall. Is it hard too maintain.
@@minglee4121 no, I show how I water it in my Sunday Plant chores video.
@@plantastix i will make sure 😊 to watch that. Happy planting. And Happy Sunday 😊💐🦋💞😺🌹🦉🌺!!!!
@@minglee4121 thank you! You too!
