Beautiful lady Mr. Kim Water, you have a beautiful and talented daughter ❤
Just for puns only, but this song is for the Birds! Great job.
In 2023 I am just now discovering Kayla - she is absolutely one of the best pianists of all time! I’ve heard her music on Sirius’ Watercolors but did not know the music was coming from someone young, gifted, producing such beautiful melodic smooth jazz! I am a number one fan and will look up her concert tours - goodness her music is so beautiful!
Let's not get carried away here. She's talented yes, but don't go overboard.
She's very good. No question about it.
How cool is that father daughter combination. Beautiful lyrics and music also!!!
Suck inowhere near to the original , just a local club band👎
This is a complete disgrace to Iron Butterfly. Not one original member and sounds like crap. As fake as the color of their hair. I wonder how Doug Ingle is allowing this?
Ironic Butterfly!
Wonderful
This is a great video; thank you for sharing our Pennsylvania Dutch culture!
Wonderbar and cuter.
It sounds natural to me. Das ist wundervoll!
Bravo, wonderful performance, thank you!!
Born and raised in Reading! GO EAGLES!
Lancaster!
This is NOT Dutch but GERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not German either, it's Pennsylvania Dutch. A mix of english and german,
@@KevinWike Correct. It’s also a dialect derived from the German spoken by Amish and Mennonites when they left Germany around 1700.
The vast majority of PA Dutch speakers were not Amish or Mennonite but Lutheran predominantly, as well as reformed. The language is incredibly close to the German dialect spoken in modern day southwestern Germany, where the vast majority of early German immigrants to America were from.
Yea I hate when people write Dutch too. It's ignorant.
@@larryhats4320 Yeah, except that’s how actual PA Dutch people refer to themselves and have for 100+ years…
omg thats wonderful!!!
Did you know it's actually Pennsylvania Deutsch. They weren't from Holland, they originated in Germany and Switzerland and spoke German. When asked what language they were speaking, it was replied, "Deutsch" meaning German. My ancestors were some of the Pennsylvania Deutsch settlers aka Amish/Mennonites.
I am Pennsylvania German, and you are correct.
I was gonna say, ask most anyone in Pa, Oh, In, Wi.... they'll tell u the same thing lol Especially Lancaster Co lol
This is incorrect and a common misnomer. The word WAS Dutch. Dutch is how the English colonists referred to any German speaking people. Pennsylvania Deutsch is not a thing. Look up Patrick Donmoyer, one of the foremost scholars on PA German history - he, among others, have thoroughly debunked his former mentors theory which you are describing here. The idea that anyone wouldn’t have known what language they were speaking is in itself obviously nonsense. Europeans had been warring and commingling for millennia before arriving in the new world.
No, you are both wrong because if anything it was Deitsch, and that's just the hybrid writing of the hybrid sound from the melding of German dialects from western and northern regions, held by people who had themselves moved around amidst for example the war of Austrian Succession. No official "Dutch" or "Deutsch" language existed. Perhaps the claim that the language was closer to what was later standardized as Dutch or German can be made, but it's stupid because a) the language that became standardized German was a tongue not spoken by most of German Europe, including those who came from Germany; b) the core of "Dutch" population was port city Amsterdam, which was up to 75% just people who relocated to the port city from what we now call Germany, Switzerland, Alsace (now France) or Luxembourg. And c) moving from the coast of "Dutch" inland the you hit Frisian dialect and other dialects that are also just as much as part of northern Germany as Dutch. The idea that these modern boxes are anything more than a line in the ground s a figment of British propaganda - the very Anglo stem which ironically itself descends from that same, northern corner of Europe.
Sounds like a p*ss*ng contest. Settle boys.
wictorie is more like PA Denglish 😆
The "w" in Wictorie is the German way to spell the English "v" sound. We Pennsylvania Dutch often use English loan words for sophisticated topics; Instead of how we say "Victory", 𝖂𝖎𝖈𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊, the Germans from Germany say "Sieg" in their speech.
@@PennsylvaniaDutch my chuckle was more because Germans would not use Victorie, as you said. But its cute. We call that Denglish (Deutch English) when such things happen. Btw, Im actually from PA Dutch country currently living in Germany.
@@Kellieswope If you're comparing standard German with the usage of English words, it would be Denglish, but this is Pennsylvania Dutch, and our sophisticated speech is full of English terminology; you'll find more quaint expressions too. Ich bin uf die Notion, das Video zu sehne ("I intend to watch the video"); Er hat in addition viel Gäul mit en gute Carriage (He also has many horses with a good carriage); In gute Zeite, das Geld plenty war. (In good times, there was a lot of money.)
Bravo, versteht soga a Elsässer!!
I remeber when in da gota da vida, heavy, live and ball came out (yeah I'm that old). In regard to the "no original members" remark - I hate break it to you but there are no original members in the New York Philharmonic either, but they are still the New York Philharmonic. Iron Butterfly - Way to carry the torch ! I love it.
This is beautiful. Kim has been my jazz guy since Love Mode CD
She's very beautiful wish she was my wife I'd treat her like a Queen on the throne
Weston does a nice job copying Bushy. But he's the only one worth listening to.
No. No. No. Some things should be left alone, and Iron Butterfly (this version) is one of them.
You got Martin G.[keys and vocals] and Dave Meros [bass]from Eric Burdon's new Animals-no one from the original band----
Very nice ya'll! Sounds so good!
Kayla's skill at playing those keys is simply breathtaking to me! Kim you did well!
I remember fondly how Dave Mariccuty used to make a face like I cut a fart every time I tried to talk to him for like 20 years straight. In DR lovefest and spocks bearded clam. Very consistent. I am sending him a can of beans for xmas to remind him of me.
She can definitely "tickle the ivories". Very talented.
Tom Webb is a great drumner
This kind of setting is perfect for her. Saw her live at the Jazz Alley in Seattle a few times and whatever musicians she brought with her, she made them all shine. Nice colab here with GV
I went to college in Pennsylvania Dutch country, and I’ve been an Eagles fan my whole life..this is cool!!
A good band, but they are not Iron Butterfly.
That's real 💯 👌
Iron bullshit is here and not well playing a pathetic set of pure horseshit.pull the plug!
Just saw them last night opening up for southern culture on the skids and Thay stole the show
Iron butterfly??? Where???
So Good!
