Another nice video! Strange they didn't design the roads wider for "two-laned" traffic, given the city planners' initial hopes for a million-resident city! Also, wouldn't planting them trees right at the very edge of the road only lead to roots busting things up in just a decade or two?

Hey isn't this the Kangbashi District of Ordos, properly speaking?? Ordos has technically existed since the time of Genghis Khan!

O actually want to emigrate there -- from America!! Lotsa crap in New York City...Kangbashi looks spacious, nice, and safe!!! No worries about getting mugged or worse, no drugged-oit zombies and their stench all over the place, and no corrupt politicians pitting one group of people against another! The only thing I "worry" about is water and air quality, given its location to coal mines and the desert -- plus, probably no foodie scene like the rest pf China (they're Mongols here of course and just do hot-pot, it seems!)...can't wait to find out first-hand soon!

I was there in Sep 2024. Its fking hot in the afternoons. Most of the people are underground. lol, Changsha Chuo Tou fu is really the best.

I saw a lot of Uyghur hats and heard of a lot of non-Mandarin talk. So much for "cultural genocide". Interestingly, at around 10:26, I noticed they have many signs with civic messaging (as far as the translator can work out) about the Chinese constitution, the rule of law, and equality before the law for all ethnic groups. And the sheer number of amenities at this park is quite astonishing.
