Yeah definitely! Had a video about a week ago where I hit a bunch more of these comp based synergies: ruclips.net/video/6y3J5UnG8rk/видео.htmlsi=NNfcHEk99M28XDle The gatherers and gladiator in this game were just ones that aren't really comps but cards that have a lot of extra scaling with them. I feel like the boars are in a weird spot from turns like 6-9. Rylak can definitely helps scale your gems then but its definitely a risk of a not great body. The jazzer + rylak also really easily transitions into the end of turn quilboars with murkeye, granted you now need murloc + beast + quilboars in which is like 1/8 so might be getting too specific there.

Genuine question for ya that id honestly love that could help me out, do yall notice if I repeat material from video to video? I end up recording these 1-2 days a week in bulk and scheduling it out so it might feel like to me that Im repeating myself more than it comes off to viewers that just watch a video here and there.

Appreciate the feedback. The main things ive kinda been juggling is should I ramble for an extra 5 minutes or not lol. My personal opinion is to get the info front loaded and the gameplay itself is more optional. I use NEEFEX( the artist) just cause hes my favorite of the non Copyrighted Music, otherwise YT will mute it. So not really sure what to do with the extra time. Some people have commented they like it some say they hate it :P

Tysm, comments like this truly help motivate me to put them out. It’s been a fun hobby of learning all the RUclips editing stuff and what not. Some of the first vids I watch back and see how bad they were lol. But just having anyone care what a no name guy has to say has been really heartwarming <3

@@neckum3925 so tier 3 has been kinda interesting imo with trinkets. If you’re doing a normal leveling pattern then you’re going to 3 on turn 5, buy a trinket on turn 6 and normally level to 4 on turn 7 so generally youre only buying 2ish tier 3 minions. I also look to greedy level on 6 a lot and skip tier 3 altogether, but in those cases stabilizing on 4 is pretty important. I only go to 5 early if I get a triple and can discover a 6. I don’t think I’m looking for a core comp until turns 7+ when you’re starting to find tier 4. Before then I’m kinda valuing cards mostly for having “linear” scaling either with stats or Econ or long term investment(something like piper). Jeef has a saying of “don’t buy trash” and that’s kinda where I start drawing the trash or not line. For the courier example i generally would only buy it if i had defiant shipwright from earlier since shipwright gives it that linear scaling.

tbh they're about the same. it slightly depends on what the rest of your summoning units are. Ive been starting to go away from the caretakers, especially away from running 2, since you need the board space for the summons where handless is only 1 spot. With titus 100% handless. Otherwise doesnt really matter maybe slightly caretaker

Sure ill try to hit it more in future videos but I guess think of your game in the following stages: 1) early stats(self explanatory) 2) enabled: picking minions that are decent stats for their tavern tier that on their own are solid but have future synergy 3) directed: having an enabler + synergistic minion. At this point a comp is playable but not necessarily good. 4) core/end game: having the 4-5 minions that make a comp work. So an example with catacomb crasher comp: 1) through tavern tier 4 just play best minions 2) Find cadaver caretaker. Solid minion that can win trades against other tier 4 minions. You will continue buying other enablers like recycling wraith. 3) Have a crasher enabler( the care taker) - at this point crasher comp is your direction and you should start limiting how many other enabled comps youre playing( stop buying wraith but you might buy beast as they have similar core cards to crasher) 4) Eventually find the "core" 4 minions of a comp. for crasher that would be Titus + Macaw+ Crasher + Caretaker. I guess the hard part of this is how many enablers you buy when between 3 & 4 and thats kinda just practice and getting better at transitioning between comps.

You wouldnt buy crasher if you didnt have caretaker. You wouldnt buy titus if you didnt have something that uses the death rattle. Its kinda a mindset of what order to buy a comp.

yes titus is "core" youre not committed to any comp until you have its core.

Yeah so I have alliance keychain lesser and greater so when my first minion does every turn that minions stats get put onto a random minion( 1x for lesser and 2x for greater). Was that what you were asking about?

"flexing with in your game" "shine as tech units" "bramble is my favorite tech units" "can apm float into murlocs" Don't think I ever said the optimal way to play them is to play them as a solo tribe because that's not the way to really play any of the comps. The issue with looking at winrates( assuming youre referencing HSreplay stats) is they do not take into account hybrid/teching into comps which essentially the entire point of this video was elementals as utility and tech units. While I appreciate the feedback I feel like that was kinda the theme of the video :/ sorry my dude <3

Oof, how many games have you been stuck there? Are you actually stuck or just not playing enough? Biggest thing i'd say is to record your games and review them. See if you made any gold inefficient plays early or forced a comp too early. Good luck tho man I'm sure you'll get out <3

@@martyyrdom Last season, I was playing around 5-6 games per day with a brief period where I played 10 games a day at one point. I significantly improved because I consume a lot of videos and streams of this genre. I reached 6.9k, close to 7k, but then I lost everything. Now, in this new season, I'm fluctuating between 6k and 6.5k. I sincerely feel that I have improved; there are more games where I finish first instead of second. But I don't know, I miss out on a lot of games when I don't get good minions in the tavern or interesting Trinkets, I end up in the last place very quickly. In fact, I either finish last or first(more last than first, but im sure you get where i'm going), I'm not consistent at all, and sometimes I struggle to adapt in the mid-game. I really want to be around 8k, it's been way too long that I've been stuck around 6k points..

I can definitely try to make that. Let me think of a way to make it easily digestible and not a 2 hour rant but could definitely go through the trinkets categorize them as either generally good or needs to be enabled, and for those enabled ones what you should have before you pick. It would also be cool to see a “Monthly Meta Report” where you go over the current builds that define the meta so people who only play occasionally are able to follow the meta without playing constantly

i might need to think it over a bit. Idk if its ever as simple as x beat a b c but loses to y z. Pretty much every comp has room to tech and a lot of it is how long the game goes and how much you scale. Im pretty sure magnetic stacking mechs has the highest potential cap for stats + utility but thats also assuming you have the health + hit everything to play it. If you dont have infinite turns then something like leapers has the highest cap of getting their capped board as early as possible in the game and tempoing out. Idk if that makes sense?

@@martyyrdomit for sure makes sense. Maybe it makes sense to look at it under certain tiers I.e. mechs on 4 and semi hard counters vs mechs on 6. It’s super situational but at a minimum it would be cool to see the “curve” of build scaling vs other meta builds.

also more stuff i would like to see: how to play etc (the buddies and their strategies are a bit overwhelming for a new player) something duos related (leveling, strategy, playstyle etc) more trinket vids ways to counter scam comps and these are just ideas, whatever you post tends to be useful

@@neckum3925 I’ll definitely try to think of the best way to make that into a digestible video because it could definitely be like an hours long video for each enabler and then each direction defining card. In the meantime have you seen hsbgguide.com for what jeef has made? I think that’s the best right now for what type of content, but again I will see how I can either make that a video, or maybe add it during the talking phase with a “this is enablers I found” and “this is when I committed.”

In general I think game theory would say to find as many enablers that your tempo in the game allows and then use your first commit. Something that I’ve been doing lately is trying to get to 5 rather than 4 to become stable. 4 drops don’t seem quite as good and if I can triple go to 5 and get a 6 drop there’s a lot more direction defining and stabilizing cards on 6.

@@neckum3925 thanks for the ideas. I’ll see if I can make any of them relevant. At least on duos stuff tbh I don’t play it at all and don’t think like I’d be able to add anything to it since when I watch it it feels like a completely different game with completely different strats.

jeef is one of the big streamers that allegedely appears to be the best player of bgs. He has some videos and tutorials about direction and when to pivot, what minions to grab and how to convert an early game board into something that can actually top 1. He doesnt go too much into detail but most of the time its not necessary. you just need to play the game and learn patterns and experiences to know intuitively what to do, assisted by actual stats practical tips like jeef gives them

Thanks man. Its HSreplay's hearthstone deck tracker app. I do have the paid that gives percentages which tbh I think ends up baiting me more than not. The free features give the common functionality of looking at the minions in different tiers, and opponents previous board. The paid features are hero winrate, trinket winrate, and tribe winrates during the game, then on the website it keeps track of your statistics and that's the one features I do buy it for. Gives the chart you'll see in the thumbnail

it 100% was. I noticed as soon as I bought the macaw without reborning it. After making the misplay it was a choice between regular macaw and the mount and at that point I think mount was better.

@@martyyrdom agreed, just making sure there wasnt a line i was missing or if it was to play more around whitemane. I dont play leapers too too often but am trying to climb from 8-9k

My classic has been "oh a leaper in shop turn 3. games forced me to play leapers" proceed to 8th after rolling 100 times for titus lol. Its definitely imo the hardest thing to do is just not tunnel. Gl man <3

Thanks man! Its definitely been a rough grind. There's weekends where I lost 700 MMR and felt hopeless. Think im already back down at 9900 lol but that's happened past seasons. A lot of mental is just I hit this MMR once, I can do it again, and its easier the second time.

Definitely depends on the unit. Some of them you can't do a lot about or will force you to play badly into the rest of the comp. For poison can play deathrattle summons. For leroy you can delay cleaves or hit with smaller units first, but unfortunately there isn't a ton you can do because these are the solid minions designed to go 2 for 1. The "best" outplay is a solid early game where you win with bigger stats on your other units but thats kind of a non answer.

Another tech that I just thought of against bramble is taunting minions that have modified base stats as an ability rather than modified stats as buffs. Example being eternal knight or fungus as the bramble will only change the base stat to 3/3 but the "aura" buff remains

Yeah recorded this right after they made it down to 20. Lowkey think its harder now to take a 5/6 with him so you need to get 40 tavern tier to get a 6, but looking forward to trying him with the update.
