Thanks for the comment , when its time to re let your property your still going to have a say who the tenant is , you may have 10 people trying to rent your property so it will be your choice who you have,

@@matthewgrainger3658 Maybe, but Labour seem intent on this benefits renting, and it would make a complete mockery of it if it 100% can't really be enforced. Personally, I would still advise people to keep the Hell away. Don't get me wrong, I detest bad landlords. I'm a v good one. Indeed I call my tenants customers, because, if you think about it, that's what they are. I detest landlords who try to short change their customers. HOWEVER, I don't want to be the victim of cynical and hateful, careless, aggressive 'customers' who abuse that kindness. Most of all, the process would happily leave me 'up shit creek without a paddle'. Frankly, I think people would be bonkers to go into Buy to Let..... But, it just shows; people can have completely opposite opinions!

I can understand you and most landlords are fed up with labour policies , but like i said in the video its just 4.5 years of labour and i think that as landlords leave the market ,rents will sky rocket and money to be made . I have had shares in the stock market in the past and i would not fancy investing in stocks and shares with labour in power , as i think the stock market will go down hill .

@@matthewgrainger3658 Rents sky rocket? No; because Labour will be putting big restrictions on landlords to raise rents. And even if not, there is a ceiling of affordability for tenants which will prevent this. You speak about the Tories as friends of Landlords. They absolutely ain't! I'm a member of the National Residential Landlords Assn, and at the Tory Conference before last, their representative was derided and vilified by the Tories. Of course, it was v different matter a year later at the next Tory Conference when the short-sighted twats had eventually realised the penny dropped that if landlords leave the market, then the impoverished Government would have to take up the slack. The utter dimwits. Nevertheless, it didn't stop them putting a load of costs onto landlords by making them 100% responsible for he costs of agent fees and inventory makes. Labour will be skewering landlord profits from all angles: Raising rents? RESTRICTED! No meaningful compensation for damage by tenants No compensation for loss of time, and stress caused by antisocial tenants all but forced on landlords. Thinking of selling? Labour will be putting up Capital Gains Tax apparently. AND bizarrely, Landlords profits are taxed as investments as opposed to a business, which is ridiculous: If you buy a share, that is the limit of your activity; you buy or sell - end of. But as a landlord, you are exposed to a raft of legislation and responsibilities, and huge fines for non-compliance. That is not an investment, is it? It's a business! So, what is that about? AND, unlike other businesses, whether rightly or wrongly, landlords can no longer offset borrowing costs. In your own video said that one needs to put in, say, £100k on a £200k property.... Oh yeah? And just where are most people going to have enough money to put in 50% of the cost? And with that £100k sunk into it, there is the profit forgone that needs to be taken into account. And once that money is in, you ain't gonna get your mits on that again with ease. It will be gone without the massive time and cost of selling. Also in your video you talked about the profits, but you didn't figure into that maintenance costs. They can be huge. Currently, I'm spending fortunes on trying to combat damp which has appeared because we had SO much rain - more or less solid for 6 months. My property had no problem for 25 years, but suddenly there is damp, and it is so difficult to locate the cause. I have put in huge gravel soak-aways, yet the damp, if anything seems to have got worse. I'm flummoxed.... but the problem and costs ain't going to go away, are they? And, who knows; maybe certain amounts of it are simply tenants not ventilating the property enough. Like I wrote; IMO (from being an experienced landlord, being a landlord is utterly toxic and anyone going into it are in denial of the huge problems.
