Women don't just randomly fall in love when they see a guy making efforts, if that were true this whole "Nice guys finish last" stuff (which is true by the way) wouldn't exist. Both are in the wrong. 1) She is in the wrong: Stay away from alcohol (which seems to be becoming an excuse in cheating) and she shouldn't have cheated. He is in the wrong for continually bringing the cheating up many years after the fact and after she has tried to seek help thru therapy (multiple) even though they didn't like some of them for whatever reason. He then (after some time has passed) decides to go on a date? Separate/divorce first. Either work it out and let it go or end it and go you're own ways. It's called common sense over ego, narcissism, selfishness etc.....
