What where the symptoms of faults the car haves?
I was changing my spark plugs cause of rough idle. At the end doing some cleaning I accidentally found it was completely snapped off
Thank you for the good instruction.
Best method/video is this one on this problem IMO. The technique allowed me to refit the sensor within 15 minutes. This worked on my 1er E87 diesel, just careful the sensor is elsewhere, located on the right side below the brake fluid container. After changing the sensor, the error dissapeared, no need to clean the codes.
How did u get the second screwdriver in such a tight space to push the sensor back into the servo ?😮
Were you getting eml light for this
1900% !
You're welcome!
Mine was really really badly corroded rather than spending the time fixing a new one is only £15 on eBay
Thanks! Replaced mine exactly like here. However it doesn’t have it’s 180degree range anymore even though its smooth and so on. Its only about 130-140 deg maximum.. weird!
Superb video, thank you
sorry any suggestions if the pivot and wiper central part stucked together? thanks
Noticed mine wasnt going all the way over and all the way back, i used silicone lube spray and it doesnt work at all now😂😂
Take the sticker off.
I like the way you highlighted fuse))) Thanks for the video!
thank you
guess what I know what I'm doing tomorrow... cheers
Spent 4 very frustrating hrs trying (unsuccessfullly) refit this sensor yesterday. Watched your video this morning and had it done in 15 mins! Thanks so much for posting this video 👍
Nightmare mate , I'm struggling to get this back in .
@@gerardregan6937 I'm sure you'll crack it, if you've not already done so. Bloody fiddly though 🤞
What did you do to fix your mirror back on ?
Just twist in place.
I didn't even have to disassemble, I just sprayed wd40 on the pin, pressed it in and out, cleaned it and now it is working again! It doesn't spray wiper fluid though...
mine just goes in and doesnt come out, like it doesnt have a spring, what should i do??
Thank's !! i was thinking by all system but after i saw your video i fixed it. :)
Thank you!
Hi good video and did it sort the code out ?
Who do you recommend to fix the frm.
I’ve got the same problem but it isn’t coming so easily.
same
Use pliers and roll it while pulling. Knocking didnt help me either.
so did it work, when you installed oem bmw sensor?
Great video, best (easiest to follow and do) description I've seen yet! Thanks.
Hi. Would you please tell me what is your engine N47 2L diesel? As I have BMW 320d M Sport N47 engine and can't find the right map sensor. The Ebay send me wrong one but they said its suitable for my car! My map sensor looks similar to yours as the size is slightly bigger than Ebay send me ! Big thanks if you give me some information!🤔😉👍
Thank you! You have just made my life so much easier! 👍🏻😎
I had the same problem, I send the module to Grosvenor Motor Company in Reading, post code RG1 8EQ
problem in ABS sensor on one of your wheels.
Nice video. Did you manage to get a refund for your dodgy sensor? My start/stop warning light comes on intermittently but even when it’s not on my auto start/stop doesn’t work. Was yours like this?
Would you (or anyone else) know of how to test these sensors - e.g., should they have a specific resistance between the pins?
Sorry I don’t know the answer, but I did get one that worked half price and second hand from Uk in the end.
On left side way is impossible to take the sensor out
Yep it’s gotta be the right side I think.
Nice editing on the hard bits pushing in the gromit lol, thanks for the video very helpful
Thanks Gaz, you’re right!
Hello, If your BMW has an AGM battery, then select the car & AGM symbols (middle two LEDS) using the red Mode button. This limits voltage to around 14.2 - 14.4 Volts, the recommended voltage to charge an AGM type battery AFAIK. It's best to avoid using the RECON (fourth LED) charge setting with an AGM but its fine for an FLA battery as this applies 15.5 Volts for an equalising charge. An AGM battery would gas excessively and pop out the pressure relief caps which results in your AGM battery drying out.
Did you clear the codes when you fitted the new sensor
Yes 👍🏼 it’s all good now!
did this fix your problem?
I had this issue on the 1 series. Buying the genuine part from BMW was the only way I was able to fix the issue
Definitely the safest way.
BMW like original oe BMW sensors. Especially camshaft or crankshaft.
I called BMW Dick Lovett and the pricing including VAT for the Brake Vacuum Pressure Sensor for Stop / Start is £153.25!! 🥲
Hiya, I have managed to get mine out but I'm struggling put the new one in
I found that getting the screwdriver 🪛 in the slot on the top of the sensor was the key to success!
@@bmwnurse1118 I managed to get it done 5 months ago, thank you tho 😅😂🤣
How did JB ClearWeld 50112 hold up?
Does brake fluid leak when the sensor is removed or is there nothing behind it that can leak? Do you have to adjust anything on the brake system afterwards?
Hi, nothing leaks and nothing has to be adjusted as far as I know... I haven't had any issues since.
Hey. I have same problem.. but i'm opening the trunk and lights does't work.. if I'm opening rear window ( from button) lights work... Did you know how to solve this problem?
gsf and eurocar do it at half that price
The bottom part that the crankcase hose goes into, what is that called? Mine is kinda broke and doesn’t connect to it properly
This is exactly what i needed! thank you!
Glad it helped, it took me a while to figure out the problem so hopefully it saved you some time.
I have the same issue and was think how to get thing back in, so thanks for the tips but I also just brought a cheap one off Ebay claiming to be new but definitely isn't. Don't even use startstop just want to get rid of the annoying bong lol. 115 quid is a lot for something you don't use.
Right, it is a bit expensive, I've seen a few second hand tested and working ones from uk sellers on ebay for about £50... I guess another advantage is that a working sensor can let you know if there's a problem with your brakes.
Fitted it today and like the one you brought it wasn't new and it didn't work.
@@jwilk1704 😤 sorry to hear that.
Only 20£ ?
Yes thats why it didn't work! bought another one from UK seller for £55, fitted it this morning in 20 minutes and it's all fixed (including auto stop/ start).
it’s 115 new
@@bmwnurse1118 Hi would you be able to provide the link of the last sensor that you bought, please, I've got the same issue, got one from ebay £16 doesn't works. Thank you.
