Excellent work. 8:36 Is the CVC to be left in this position? or should it be pulled out so that the tip is outside the cardiac silhouette in the Xray?
I always try at the right side first, and if not available, I go then for the left side. In this case, the CVC was left in place as there were no arrhythmias.

@@Nomad-go3gc The optimal place for the tip of a CVC should be positioned in the proximity of the cavo-atrial junction, or at the level of the T6-T8 vertebral bodies on an X-ray. In this case the line was over inserted, and was pulled to a proper site.
which preset do you use to view the vein on the ultrasound machine?
@@Nomad-go3gc You need a small, and high-frequency linear array (10-15 MHz) for detailed superficial imaging. I use vascular mode, increase the gain to the max, and adjust the depth to 1.5 cm.
