A few simple arps, where Just Friends provides 6 LFOs triggering some of the Verbos' individiual sines - this is then sent through the Rossum Panharmonium, whose output goes through Three Sisters. Somewhere in the middle I plug an individual sine into the FM input of 3 Sisters, and the center output of 3 sisters into the Verbos Oscillators' FM input, which neatly dirtifies all sounds. First attempt at a generative patch: Shakmat White Gallop running into Ornament and Crime in Copiermachine mode, modulated by Just Friends & Wogglebug, with Cold Mac modulating the JF and some envelopes. I almost returned the Panharmonium, but then I found this "trick"...* *It is not a trick. It's a core functionality of the module, but I think many folks are misunderstanding this - hence this video, which shows how you can use the Rossum Panharmonium a bit like a sampler.

Got the Verbos Harmonic Oscillator as I love those Obertöne, especially when sequenced by the ER101/102 and Just Friends. The fun thing about this patch is that there is a sequencing feedback between the 101/102 and Just Friends, where the tempo of the latter is changed by the ER101, while some notes on the ER are shortened whenever it gets a high Gate from Just Friends. Trying to use Cold Mac as a master modulation knob here, controlling the master clock (which is a Grand Terminal LFO) and the speed input of Just Friends, which itself is opening and closing the filter on one of the Saw waves coming from the Furtherrr Generator. Playing around with the new Rossum Assimil8or - basically trying to find a place for it in my rack. Super pristine sound quality and similarly great bit reduction (need to get rid of that hiss in my rack though...) I've had a bunch of samplers I didn't gel with in the past - Octatrack, Morphagene, Lubadh...let's see how this goes. :)

Been listening to the modular composer legend Caterina Barbieri and wondered whether her use of the Verbos Harmonic Oscillator ER101 could be emulated with Ornament & Crime and Just Friends in Plume Mode. Well, it sort of works, modulo my compositional capabitilies to be sure.

I've put together a minimum viable modular pod for traveling, limiting myself to roughly the size of the small Elektron boxes at 48HP - the pod is equipped with Plaits, Just Friends, the Meng Qi Dual Lo Pass Gate and the Serge Variable Q Filter ( a stereo out XOH from Make Noise). The idea is to learn these modules a bit better than I usually would within a larger system, and to post some music...

How is the linnstrument connected to the modular?
The idea of using the Panharmonium as a sound source is great. However, I'm amazed that Rossum didn't think about simply having a button (or switch) that 'disables' the input. After all, pulling the jack out is rather basic even clumsy, especially when working live.

I'm not sure actually, but I mostly use Petra, Mosh, Zoom and the filters...

I have a 101 and I wish there were videos on tuning the cv numbers in corelation with the actual note of the oscillator. When I tune my oscillator to C3 and make it match the C3 on cv A , I move up 12 , so I am on C4 on the screen , but my oscillator showes a complete of tune value.. anything I am missing here?
hmm, could be your tuning table? you can extremely precisely dial in what each value corresponds to in voltages, it's possible you accidentally played around with that? not sure if there's a reset function, but I'd guess there is..
Nice! One question: how is it with latency? is there any noticable timing difference when mixing the output of the panharmonium and other sources that should play in time?
For saved spectra there is no latency - for live spectra there is, and it’s a little unfortunate of course. Would be great to be able to sync it to a clock.

Nice nice tones, which Reverb are you using in this patch?
I'm pretty sure I used Adaptiverb by ZYNAPTIQ, a very curious and special reverb that uses tons of CPU to "tonalize" the tails (so you can get looong washed out tails that still are tuned towards whichever note is currently being played. Not great for live use, I put it on in post.
very nice...I was actually thinking about switching the morph for the luba as well....morph sometimes is a bit of a pain in the a**........
FWIW, I switched back to the Morphagene :) The Lubadh had some noise issues I couldn't quite resolve (probably just my unit!) and while the Morphagene also has noise issues (across the board), it's not that bad AND I use the Gene Size quite a bit...

I was wondering how the 3 sisters would sound in a rack -- interesting idea to patch it to the HO! I typically run mine trough a GStorm Electro 4023 -- such a delightful and strange module the HO is!
