I guess this is my sign to finally read The Shadow Of Sirius by W.S. Merwin. I bought it earlier in the year (for a specific poem that was in it) and then got distracted by other books 🤪

Only book I've read from that haul is 'Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow'. I had no idea what it was about, I tend to buy books based on their covers (its a pretty cover). Anyways, it turned out to be my favourite book I've read this year. So far. We still got a couple months, maybe somethin' will top it (but I doubt it) 😊

I read 'Much Ado' for the first time this year (not my first Shakespeare), Beatrice and Benedick don't spend a whole of time together in it... but they are quite the pair when they do (and Beatrice is just an incredible female character). Maybe one of my favourite fictional couples ever now. Anyways, I might try to track down a copy of 'Under A dancing Star' ⭐ Ah. twenty-eight... finally a grown up. I say that because that was when I finally felt like I proper grown up, even though I had been out on my own for years and years at that point 😂 Also, very cool record player! Welcome to the world of vinyl 🎶

Great video, I just discovered you! Magus from the Library could be a good manga for "beginners", especially for those who love reading and the bookish world... I would recommend Attack on Titan to everyone because it is a masterpiece , though I have to admit that it's a bit too long if you just want to start slowly. But A Silent Voice is great, just like Blue Flag, Shy, Wolf children or Death Note (according to what your're searching), and I'm going to stop there because I could make a list of a thousand titles... Also I'm sorry if it's not very clear, I'm French and I understand English well but I write it... not so well😅

I really enjoyed this video; I just recently moved from Manchester, so it was nice to see someone else walk through my usual book-shopping routine haha! 💝 The Gay Pride Shop is still in Afflecks, but I am pretty sure on Sundays a large part of Afflecks is shut down, including the bookshop (sorry, not sure if you mentioned when exactly in the week this happened). Enjoyed seeing your book haul and hope you enjoy your picks!

The thing I like best, and what I wish other vloggers would do, is that you SLOWLY panned the bookshelves you showed so that we could actually read the titles. I hate it when the photography is very quick and jerky and -- irritating. I just saw the Pep Guardiola quote and I'm a big City fan from California. ⚽

I honestly enjoy a book more if it's used. I can bend it, drop it, and have to take super great care if it because I only have paid mostly a $1 for them. Now with new books I feel like I have to becarful with them and they never leave the house. There is honestly really no reason to buy new, you get more used, you save trees, you support local businesses.

I loved the Strange the Dreamer duology! The characters are fantastic and none of the villains are black and white. The first one is my favourite but the second one was also very good
