The Very, Very, Very, Luffiest
I'M BAAAACK with a very special edit! It's the intro I made for MelonTeee's Luffy and Liberty video! I’m so grateful for this collaboration and it feels great to finally share it on my channel :)
Mel gave me the music and a general idea for the intro: Luffy through the years/arcs, ending with Gear 5 and ”this is my peak”. Then I had free rein with the editing, which was fun! Some of my choices were informed by talking points that I knew were gonna be in Mel's video, but mostly I just let my feelings (and Luffy) guide me :)
I wasn't planning on uploading it here but after receiving SO MUCH love on it as well as Mel's approval, I figured why not. Enjoy!!

what makes you think i'm so special? Most of the ocean clips are from Children of the Sea, a film so beautiful that I wondered if it was possible to combine it with One Piece in this way (no offense to the OP anime lol). The movie also has a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, so I had to crop and zoom the OP clips to fit with that. I tried to keep some of it uncropped though by duplicating and mirroring clip...

how can i resist when zoro and sanji are out here performing spin attacks? i didn't mean for the sanji part to go so hard but that's what happens when you combine anything with the masterpiece that is the final boss theme from sonic 3. this is not only my favorite game OST of all time but my favorite ALBUM. i even find myself listening to the sound effects sometimes, they're just so satisfying ...

This was initially a slice of a much bigger One Piece tribute I’m working on. But it didn’t really fit with the rest of the video so it got scrapped. This took me a looooooong time to edit. The font used throughout the video is Kaku Dingbats by Skulls, a font that is entierly made up of Kaku. Good luck reading that.

i rewatched this 3 times and safe to say i failed NNN by using preseason pass and my reboot cards 3 times. that just shows how good this edit is.
