Good Video Dave Only one thing I can criticise on if I may. The background music could do with a lower volume. Keep the videos coming. And good luck with the channel.
@@hikeifulike Hi, and many thanks for the comments and feedback, it’s always good to hear from the folks who watch the videos. I’ll make note to reduce to background music for future videos. I’m trying to grow the channel and would really appreciate a like and a new subscriber. Thanks David
This is so helpful, thank you. I’ve seen a few videos on the standard T7 and read today of someone saying that they had to remove both tanks to find their aux socket, you’ve proved that wrong. Hope you’re still enjoying the T7WR👍
@@MarkN67 thanks you for viewing and commenting on the video, I’ve since sold the 2022 T7 world raid and bought a brand new 2024 T7 extreme, as I did not find any Benefit to the larger fuel capacity, especially on ride outs with people with smaller tanks, as you were stopping to refuel based on their needs. The extreme has all the upgrades the world raid got just a smaller fuel tank and no steering damper. I’m trying to grow the channel, id really appreciate a like and a new subscriber. David
The side grip pads are small because you've bought the ones designed for the world raid. I know because I made the same mistake and just ended up fitting them the same as you have.

How is the tent now youve used it please ?
It’s class, really big and after being side by side with the lonerider it’s next to identical and at under 1/2 the price, I would say the lonerider has heavier material but then that’s more weight. It’s rained a few times when using it and no issues with leaking. It does not come with a ground sheet so I bought a 3x5m one from Lidl for €7:00 and working great. That bike makes me love my 2023 GSA even more. BMW is driving me to a Ducati for the next bike. The new GSA was beat with an ugly stick.
There is a bit of that alright, but BMW are known for making less than handsome bikes with only 1 exception the S1000RR. I’m trying to grow the channel I’d really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.

I have a '94 PD, but the bike in the video is Fugly. Wtf is the radar? Soon have a 'man to ride it for you, Sir'
@@soapy6799 Bar the BMW S1000RR BMW don’t make Pretty or Handsome bikes, the Radar is for collision warning and cruise control were it maintains speed and distance from the Vehicle in front of you and vehicle detection for vehicles behind and to the side of you. Great tech rarely used on a motorcycle, but BMW have to keep up with the Japanese and the Itilians. BMW do have a self riding bike, search RUclips for BMW Self riding motorcycle, for what purpose i don’t know, showing off what that can do rather than making right what they are doing. Yuk. Not inspired at all to move onto one of these from 1250gsa. Think I am done with gs ownership when present bike is ready for change.
@@GPR111 i was of the similar position until i seen it in the flesh, it is much much nicer when its in front of you, Im trying to grow the channel, id really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.
@@Getting-On thanks - I definately wont be buying in, I cant stand the std 1300 and was hoping the gsa would be inspiring but for me its an even bigger fail so the 1250 is my last for sure. I just find the aesthetics of the new bikes awful, its mostly the very poorly executed slab of cheap plastic covering the cruise "radar" sensor but there are other areas too which I find quite disappointing. They will go well for sure - as they should - but not for me. For big money I expect a tertific looking machine I want to look at but this I would just use like a car as a mode of getting places without giving a second glance ..... but I would actually give it more than a second glance and be thinking its ugly as fcuk ... 😲 ! Thats not biking,.... to me anyway.
@@GPR111 I would not be too fond on the GS either, i thinks its lists its adventure and off road edge, gone a bit to road biased, also not fond of the loss of the rear light for the integrated indicators. The GSA on the other hand is growing on me, and after seeing it in the flesh im moving towards one, Ill probably leave it for 2025 and buy in 2026, im not being a free test user for BMW, especially for the ASA.
@@Getting-On yes spot on about being a 'tester', I would give it a very good distance too before investing real money, and its only real world use which really digs deep and finds weaknesses in brand new hardware
@@GPR111 Fully agree, and in the modern world we live in we are so heavenly marketed new products and must haves, and looked down upon for not having the Newest iPhone or Samsung Galaxy and now not having the newest GS/GSA. I work in IT and we UAT (User Acceptance Testing) before we launch new hardware or software, maybe the auto industry to should be more heavily invested in UAT and get their products right the 1st time (or dam well close to 100%)
This was first time I heard "predator headlight". I was going to trade my 2022 r1250gs for the 1300gsa. But instead I bought another ugly vehicle. A 2025 BMW m440i. Everybody the hated m440i when it first arrived in 2021. Because it was ugly, myself included. Same with this GSA. I'll grow on you, then you'll like, then you'll crave it.

Not really looking forward to projectile vomiting when I see this in the flesh. Absolutely hideous.
I sold my 2014 GSA because, much as I liked it, in traffic it was just too wide low down. Why are the crash bars so wide with that odd loop attached? An anti-cyclist device? Sorry, but this is what Frankenstein would make.
They are a wide bike alright. The wings on the low crash bars are to remove the need to upper bars, and a bonus as a better leg rest. On bikes we have the ability to give the cyclists a wide hearth so not an issue there. Bar the S1000RR all other BMW motorcycles are ugly, but someone needs to love the ugly child. I’m trying to grow the channel, I’d really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.
That bike is seriously ugly - a monstrosity!
Old farts gonna love this one, I like bikes that can actually turn and stay true to their purpose.

I see you have a top, thinner forward strap on top of the seat. I am looking to buy these bags and put them on a T7 under the seat as you did. I have room to fit the wider two strap under the rack bars where I see you did not and needed to make the modifications. My question is where did the thinner top strap come from? Did you add that one? I do not see it in other photos or videos.
@@trailrunnermike Thanks for your comment, all the straps are standard with the Enduristan Blizzard luggage, the big ones are for the throw over, and the small ones are for holding in place to the bike. It’s a bit of overkill and there is way too much length in all the straps, but they are universal and some bikes are bigger so more length is needed. The small straps have metal hooks on the end which i had to heat to bend out to fit my rear rack. It’s great luggage and im very happy with it. One downside is it’s a pain to remove quickly, a base system that stays on the bike with quick release would be better. Im trying to grow the channel, id really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.
Bad idea...it' s bolted down using "threaded inserts" not spacers for a reason....

I also bought the headlight and engine housing protection from AliExspress like you. The rubber grip pads from China are supposed to come off again after a while. You can let us know if that's the case. best regards
Hi Many thanks for your comment, most of AliExpress/Temu etc etc are a gamble at best, i would not buy anything thats critical to safety or motion. Im trying to grow the channel and would really appreciate a like and new subscribe so it would be great if you could do both.
I also have the Extreme, but unfortunately there are some disadvantages that I don't like very much. The original Yamaha crash bar can break the engine in a crash. There is no steering damper for this model, neither from Yamaha nor from other manufacturers, that can be legally driven on the road in Europe. The high Rally seat cannot be exchanged for a low standard Yamaha seat because it doesn't fit. The aftermarket only offers very uncomfortable low seats, such as Seat Concepts. I don't like the T7WR because of the big tank, but it has a more comfortable wider seat and the seat height is lower, and an integrated crash bar. That's why I love and hate my motorcycle, because of all the design errors from Yamaha.
@@regarolt1691 I only learnt about the OEM crash bar issues a couple of days ago, so not too happy about that, I agree on the seat the Extreme seat is noticeable more uncomfortable than the seat on the World Raid, and having owned one for 2 years I noticed within 10KMs. There is a Scott stealing damper ive see a lot of people using, i will check it out and if i buy one I’ll put up a video.
