My first ever horror movie, saw it when I was like 12 and it scared me shitless, but it also sparked my love for the genre so yeah I'm really glad I watched it back then :D

I think the woman holding the baby was either a ghost from hell (in that clip they are in hell) or maybe someone who lives down there? I also think possibly La Toupe was a ghost, how else could he have survived/had knowledge? it seems like the people knowledgeable about the catacombs (for example, the man at the beginning who told them to find papillion) are all dead, ghosts from hell.

I think there are more jumpscares (non-deaths) in this movie, ex seeing faces in the dark, the candle-lit room, the phone, the lady's face (first saw her at the club twice, then in the catacombs) etc

What a disappointment. The original was scary built on a creepy atmosphere and mystery. This one, loud noises. People opening Tents do it at 1200 decibels in this movie lol what a load of shit.

I saw this in the theater with my wife. I loved the first film, and really sold her on the remake. After the umpteenth jump scare, the entire audience would break out into laughter and shake their heads after each new one. When the audience literally *laughs* at your "scare", that's damning criticism for any horror film. This was a master class of how not to remake a classic horror film. They lacked an even basic understanding of what made the original work. To say I was disappointed is a gross understatement, and I apologized to my wife several times as we left the theater.

I've never watched this movie before so I give it a try. But, I was so pissed off of how stupid the two guys, the main characters, Peter and James. Both are simps! Let me explain. At the beginning of the movie, Lisa commands James to try an earpiece which is placed next to a drone on a table. She also commands James to press the button. Oh my..how stupid James as a man who can't even operate a simple device. He can f***ing do it by himself! You don't need to tell him what to do! The next scene is where James and Peter were both in the middle of a video game, competing against each other, having fun, and suddenly this f***ing Lisa interrupted both of them in the middle of the game by asking Peter : "Can you give us an idea of what we're going to be doing out there?" Oh my...(me starts swearing) Lisa, hello..can you see both of them are busy and in the middle of a game? Are you blind? Can you wait for a sec or discuss about this later. Please respect their privacy. If a woman can ask a man to respect her f***ing privacy, so can you. And to my surprise... both James and Peter stopped the game immediately and straight away hop into a discussion with Lisa about what to do. What a fu**ing joke!! Both of you are so stupid and clearly are simps!! You are nothing but servants to this Lisa. Oh my..(I'm swearing again). If me myself, in the middle of a f***ing game, if a woman disturbed me, I'm going to tell her to f***k off. In the next scene, James, Peter, Lisa and Ashley arrived at Lane's house. Lane aka Darknett666 is the guy that sent the tape to them. Lisa commands Lane and his, I don't know his wife or girlfriend or whatever, to sign a release form. Mr. Lane also ask Lisa to sign a release form too and you know what? She was so surprised. Why are you so surprised Lisa? You narcissist feminist twat. You can ask the man to sign a release form but when the man ask you back to do the same thing you're giving him that annoying look😯! What's with the attitude thot? Are you trying to be bias here or what? What are you scared of Lisa? Huh? Huh? Smh. And the movie continues with Mr Lane asking them if he and his wife, partner, whatever, can come along with them into the woods. Guess what? James aka Mr Simp, was looking directly at Lisa like he wants to ask for a permission or something. And all of them (except Lane and his wife, girlfriend or whatever) gathered around somewhere in privacy discussing wether Lane can tag along or not. What a f***ing joke!! ( Me again swearing but this time a bit longer) Listen up here James or Mr Simp. You're a disgraced as a man, why can't you stand up for yourself and make a decision for yourself! This is about finding your sister! Your sister! Not the dumbass Lisa's sister! You're calling the shots here wether you want to have Lane with you or not. You made a mistake by asking Lisa! Never ask a woman! You should take the lead! What a f**"ing joke!!! At least, this time Peter is standing up to himself by saying "nope". Oh my.. From that point I stopped watching this movie. It's so cringey and simping. I can't watch it anymore. Ugh!!! It's painful to watch!!
