    What an awesome way to quilt ! Very Cool ! I am watching from the United States months later. I have been doing crumb quilts lately. This technique might be a great addition to a crumb quilt as well as on it’s own . I will give it a try. I love this, so freeing. Thank you so very much ! ! ! ! Have an amazing day ! ❤❤❤

    How do you get around the "blind spot" without going off the rails? That is my problem because with a big quilt you can't just turn the shape around to avoid that spot behind the needle bar. :(

    Great video!!! A question, when you tailor tack your pattern dots with a machine, doe it make it difficult to use the pattern for a second, third, ... pair?

  • @carolehale3612
    @carolehale3612 4 года назад

    Thank you Hannah for a really interesting video which contained lots of tips. You've inspired me to make a pair of pyjamas. I love all the feet but I’m thinking that the tailor's tack foot might be the next purchase ........ I’ve got a button foot so I’m just wondering if I could use that instead - if I make a longer shank? Then I could buy the piping foot instead!

    • @BerninaUK
      @BerninaUK 4 года назад

      Hi Carole, thanks for watching and glad we inspired you! You could try using the button sewing on foot with the guide raised to its highest point but I don’t think it would be high enough as it isn’t as high as the guide on the tailor tack foot. We would love to see a photo of your PJ’s if you do make some! - Hannah

    FANTASTIC...SO INSPIRING... I have a Bernina 1530 now 27 years old . Used regularly only by me . It replaced my Bernina 830 , the first original College machines. I have over the years taught on a one to one basis , many sewing friends , who are still happily using their Bernina. This is the first time I have watched your live demonstration Hannah , sheer joy, and I shall be using my knee lifter so much more. I look forward to seeing you demonstrate pure silks to improve my skills. I make silk scarves for charity and dear friends. with respect Eileen Birdsall , 2019.

    I love the idea of doing a 'horizontal' quilt job like this one Kate. A large wall quilt waiting to be constructed and sewn is a bit overwhelming for me, so this model is much more manageable and enjoyable for me! You have good taste in clothes too; I have some linen pants in the same fabric and colours which I love wearing!

      Hi Derick, we are delighted to hear you are still using the classic Bernina 1530 and 1630. If you don’t own a modern computerised machine, you can still embellish the project with your current model. The 1630 is in fact ideal for this with its wide sideways feed embroidery designs. We are also planning future webinars that will accommodate for older Bernina machines.

It is however never 100% not even when I closed the program with the same design adjusted to 100%.
