I’m sure glad to see that there is a Californian that has good taste in teams. Fixen to close the deal on low hour g5.
Thank you for making these Sr22 videos! I'm waiting for your next ones! What mounts do you use for your cockpit cameras?
Talk less, fly more....Use checkilists. Horrible sterile cockpit.. Capt. Ret. ATP, CFI/ME, FETJ. Type rated B-747, B-737, DC-10, EMB-110. 30,000 Total time.
Point the camera outside and on the avionics. Not on yourself.
What's a trolley? Seems like a nice location. I see no reason why a few radio activated lights couldn't be added so it can be used at night as well. Come prepared with synthetic vision. Aint no thang
What mount are you using to attach your camera inside the cabin?
Seen one of these planes today at an air show and now I’m traveling down rabbit holes lol At 41 years old would it even be worth it to learn how to fly
Nice video. But since your video is about "flying the Cyrus SR 22" it would be enjoyable to get a lot more information about the performance specs throughout the flight. More interesting to the viewer than the frequency you're using, etc. Keep making videos!
looks like the stick is connected to the nose wheel the way you are steering that thing around with your left hand while taxiing! also you commented about responding to the controllers instructions in a timely manner so next time you get a takeoff clearance remember that you can taxi the plane and push the PTT at the same time.. surprising how much quicker you can get on the runway and get moving when you start to taxi immediately when you hear the words 'cleared for takeoff"! you don't stop the plane in midair to respond to the controller right? you don't even need to wait to taxi while the controller says whatever he may add to the takeoff clearance much less wait until you are finished responding to it. "cleared for takeoff" means MOVE IT!
Cool channel, sub’d. Lived in Agua Dulce 40 years ago as a kid. The restaurant at the time was called The Hanger Inn. The place was always busy with planes coming in and out. Kinda sad to see it so dead.
Sean, great video. Learned how to fly with my classmate Dad's tail dragger. We used to fly up to Berryessa and fly over the island kind of low to scatter the cows. Then come in sweet and low. Man, those were fun times. Applied for pilot training in the Navy after college. Recruiter asked my age. I said, "25, Sir"! He said Kid you are almost three years older than what we want. Hard to believe how shocking that was as a 25 year old. What a wake up call that was. Sean, enjoyed your video. Great plane and enjoyed watching the workings of flight commentary and communications between flight controllers and your plane.
Love this!!! More 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sean, missing the G2 videos! Just picked up a 2005 myself and I love watching what you’re doing! Hopefully you can get back to making these great videos!
Hey! Will do soon. It has been busy so I have taken a break on uploading these....but some new stuff will be recorded and uploaded.
Why can't you fly in the clouds?
Pilots who don't have an Instrument Rating, can't fly through clouds because they can lose their sense of direction and lose control of the aircraft. Flying through clouds can also be dangerous because of the turbulence that can be dangerous
Flying into a cloud can disorient a pilot who is not trained for it, and can place the aircraft in a dangerous attitude and the pilot may not even know it. Stalls, graveyard spirals or spins can take a pilot out in a cloud.
Awesome video man! I’m so obsessed with the idea of learning to fly, just very expensive! I love watching people get to fly and get that POV.
Thank you! It is very expensive for sure, but if you wanted to make a career out of it, get a loan like you would for college and join a flight school that will get you from beginning to the airlines in one place. That would be my suggestion. It is amazing to fly, and I never get tired of it!
love it bro!
Glad you like it!
You have a good bladder. Sitting in the airplane non-stop. Good thing for the Tail wind. 198 KTS. But when you got to fly back home with the headwinds.
I barely sip on any drinks while I am up in the air. I will only snack a little. I can maintain for hours up there by doing that.
You guys have the same stylist?? jk.. great content as always, Sean.
Hahaha! Na, I guess it just seems that way!
Binge watching
I appreciate that!
1st time every flying, even a commercial airline?
They have never been in a plane before this video.
@@Cirrusly-Sean I am impressed.
Sharing aviation with the ones you love is awesome. My daughter recently started to really like flying with me and she thinks she may want to pursue it as a career. PS: Help them with their seatbelts. The latch needs to be much lower.
Yes absolutely!
Great video- y’all look Dornish (GOT) 😂
Lol, thanks!
Great video from a guy who dreams of flight school 🙌🏽
Go get it!!
All USA pilots sound the same in all videos... "Alright, cool. I'm gonna pick up the aaaa." Makes these videos quite boring.
What??? lol
Great stuff. Like seeing your content. But it is interesting. Your A&P charged you for new alternator and "module" for a broken Field wire plus the labor? They did not check the resistance in that before getting you a new alternator? I suggest you take a look at Mike Bush books you will love them as a new pilot owner.
Thanks man! I have a new mechanic who is amazing! But yeah, I feel like I got taken with the old group.
Having flown the SR22T I was amazed at how far GA has come! I can see why these are selling so well. Anyway, back to flying suits & co in Longitudes for me nowadays. Bit of a yawn tbh. Stay safe sir.
Yes they are great planes! So many options for newer aircraft has made GA quite awesome! I will do my best sir!!
Really appreciate the play by play from the check off to landing. Really loved flying the Cirrus S22 out of Carlsbad with Palomar Aviation. Taking off, had that remotely down. Landing - ug. The drop, worry, push for some speed, oh shit too much speed, psych myself out - instructor took the wheel :( . All four times. No fun failing four times and $2,300 out the door. With so many aviators on your channel, including yourself - open to suggests on flight schools or confirmation that $500 each trip is the usual cost of training. With Carlsbad AP up the street from me, it’s a shame to let that opportunity go. In the meantime, I’m doing simulation, care of my home made simulation that isn’t that bad right now. Thank you,
Well hey, I was there at the beginning too! It must have took me like 10-15 hours before I was ready to start landing the plane myself. There are those who are just naturals and start landing right away....not this guy! lol. Get back at it!
Spend a million more and buy a used Honda Jet....it is smoother, quieter, faster, flies higher, and burns less fuel than the Cirrus VJet....and has a lavatory so you can truly use the 1000 mile range without taking a break every three hours
I wish I had that kind of money!!
Had the burrito at Pecos on my way back from Florida. Sedona has a great restaurant as well as the beautiful sites.
@@HighlandsInvite yes Sedona is very nice for sure! I love the approach and landing on a huge table top lol.
When flying over LA can you smell the POOP from up there ? 😊
@@joepecorelli1099 not at all. It’s quite nice actually. Great views, especially at night.
Great content, Sean! Keep up the good work.
@@YoelGilman thank you!
@@YoelGilman thank you! 🙏
Love your vids. May I ask what business are in? Apparently,😊 it's profitable!
@@ajmelodic I’m a contractor for replacement windows. The plane helps getting to and from my offices in different cities.
@@Cirrusly-Sean awesome! Thanks for your reply.
The Cirrus is a nice aircraft! Retired Navy pilot here. Flying in the LA basin is a good exercise in situational awareness and focus on safety - good job. I noticed before your takeoff you tossed your phone on the right seat. Also not sure if the backpack there was secure. You might consider ensuring everything in the cockpit is secure in case you encounter turbulence or any maneuver that could dislodge loose items. Don’t need stuff flying around inside the aircraft or going where they shouldn’t be. I have very little time flying VFR and when doing so in small aircraft am completely outside my comfort zone. I am much more comfortable on an IFR flight plan. Fly safe!
@@jaygallamore562 yeah I usually have my flight bag on my right seat, but probably should secure it better, especially in less than favorable conditions. I’m still working on my IFR currently, hopefully I’ll have that rating in a couple months.
Whys he say towards the beginning of the flight that he cant fly into the clouds?
@@brandonjones5096 In order to fly into clouds you must be an instrument rated pilot on an instrument flight plan. I’m not instrument rated yet, but have flown in clouds with my instructor, it can definitely be disorienting if you are not careful and focus on your instruments only.
Do you know Renee?
@@ashleychapman5418 I don’t think so, are they an instructor?
I love watching your videos, but I'm conflicted because it just seems so dangerous to have divided attention between flying and keeping RUclips entertained at the same time, especially during high task saturation times. Stay safe out there bud!
@@dsinha99 I’m always keeping safe. I won’t do more than I can handle. If things get busy, I stop talking so much lol.
They are so funny, are they nervous about the flying or about being on camera with dad?
@@747FoSophie more about the flying thing. They are not camera shy girls at all! Lol
@@Cirrusly-Sean The more they fly the easier it gets :)
Brilliant 👍🏿
@@noelsey13 thank you!
@@Cirrusly-Sean They are off to a great start in life with a Dad like you! I was only a teenager when my Dad took me for my first non commercial flight in his beloved C182 RGII. Before that I only ever flew with him a few times when he was FO in the venerable 727. Now aged 91 he still has very fond memories of his flying career as do I having retired aged 62 in 2020 after 41,237 flight hours. Watching your video made me as emotional as I was on my final landing at YSSY. Happy days sir!
Neat raidio. Call but. I would say white cerius tall number
Na, It is irrelevant when all they see is color and type....I am not out there looking at tail numbers...tell me what to look for.
Controller sounds like he is a really cool controlling ( TWR at arrival) How he says CEEYA to people and still being pro. Also awesome save on the falir! if your ever in AZ lmk! I fly out of FFZ
Yeah I like the controllers in the Fresno CA area, they are the nicest everrrr. One time I was flying back from Oregon dropping a friend off in Visalia. The controller came on and was like "November 381CD...did you know about the NOTAM for Visalia Airport Being Closed and not letting planes land?" I was like "noooooooooo!" He keyed back up laughing his ass off and was like "just kidding man! I had to mess with you after a long flight from Oregon!" Thanks for the invite!! I will keep that in mind!
Very cool. Love it 👍
@@daxflame163 thank you!
Keep it up bro!

Sean Yahns' got the best shit, just came across your video, made it half way through before I recognized you, glad to see you're doing good! Let me know if you ever make it to Oshkosh for the airshow, I'm right around the corner in Upper Michigan now.
Lol!! Hey man! Yeah hopefully I’ll make the next show for sure! We gotta catch up!
Great content & energy! What a dream to fly in this region (I'm from Europe).
Thank you! I want to fly in Europe one day! That seems like an amazing adventure!
Hey Sean currently in my PPL stage, and will be going through instrument, CFI, and multi engine. Hope to be done by April of next year. Do you find the Sirius SR22 to be an affordable and forgiving plane coming from a Cessna 172s?
It’s definitely affordable if you’re willing to go with a G2, but you will more than likely be flying with my current avionics, the Avidyne Entegras. All good, but not as up to date as these newer models for sure. I love my plane, and she is forgiving to a point, but it’s a high performance aircraft, and you must stay ahead of the airplane. You would love it though!
I have a safety observation to share with you. Your daughter’s seatbelt needs to lowered down to her belly button. If something was to happen that seatbelt buckle location would not work the way you would want it. Great video, keep it up. :)
Yeah I know. I didn’t look over to confirm she had it lower. Thanks though!
nice video...surprised the panel doesn't show AGL my tablet does...wheels up! 😁
Yeah I wish it did!!
Hey dude, can you make a quick vid with your gopro and audio setup?
I’ll get that video put together soon.
nice video...kiza always a good place to fly...wheels up!
Yeah I love that place! Especially in the spring or winter...so green!
