Просмотров 8293 года назад
This video is the last couple days of a 4 day adventure up HWY 395 We explore a little bit of the amazing Alabama Hills and venture down into Reward Mine. It was such a unique experience I would 00 recommend it if you haven't been already. I would definitely say that this would be a better place to go in the fall or spring when the weather is a little cooler. They days might be more enjoyable....

They have everything you need just outside the city with everything from full Electric and water RV spots to small campsites like where we stated.. all right on the River! We did some trout fishing and light off-roading & found some gorgeous trail systems we want to dig a lot more int...

Finally got to check out Lytle Creek This is a really popular trail here in the Los Angeles area. A great trail if you are just getting into 4x4, or are looking to something chill for the day. There are a ton of great views and a steady mix of terrain. There are even campsites along the trail if you are looking to make a weekend out of it.

December 30th 2020 My and my Fellow Ranger take on Pilot Rock OHV #SnowWheeling #TrailRide #4x4 I would definitely rate this trail as EASY. (Even in the snow there were no issues) What trail should we tackle next? Always remember to tread lightly and practice "leave no trace"

19 Ford Ranger x Warm Springs Truck Trail
Просмотров 6374 года назад
Took a day trip up to the San Bernardino Mountains & hit "Warm springs Truck Trail." This was a very easy trail and I found an awesome new trout stream!
Awesome area. Love Monache meadows. BTW, the fishing regulations for the South Fork of the Kern are barbless hooks and artificial lures (no bait). Powerbait is considered bait. Not artificial. You handle the fish well, gentle. Love the Ranger and awesome to see it out there.
Idk how i feel about catching 2 ounce fish
A very cool place, not easy to get in and out of. I hunted deer up there about 40 years ago, when California still had a viable deer herd. 😕
I goggles the route to get to monache meadows and i cant find it. Do u know the trails name?
How much are you supposed to deflate the tires when you go offroading like that? As a reference, what are yours set to before and to what pressure do you deflate them to?
It depends on the trail. I normally drop 5 psi no matter what just for comfort. If it's sandy or I really need grip I drop down to around 20psi. Different terrains will call for different firmness with your tires. It's really good to experiment to see what you like.
@@socalranger6492 My car calls for 44 psi. So I can drop it to 39? I see some people who have their tires really deflated.
How do you get there from the 395? Which turnoff?
Gorgeous place. If you're not very careful though, you'll catch yourself high-centered.
That's no lie! Its been while since I've hit this trail planning to go back this year as the weather warms up
Respect to the author 👏

Thanks again @xbeatdrop for the fire visuals!
One of my more favorite spots. I love all the old cabins in there. The one you drove by is a reclaimed cabin the USFS/BLM use for a staging area for search and rescues and working on the Pacific Crest Trail. Nice video and love seeing you catching your first golden!
What month of the yr?
It’s pronounced “moe-natch-ee” lol. Glad you guys enjoyed the area.
Bad ass video. Do you have coordinates? To the camp spot by the creek?
The rear Fox 2.0 is a confort shock?
Damn man, nice work for sure!
Did you have issues of this blocking your sensors?
Hahaaaa love the video!
Man I stayed in to the video and y’all can’t drive 😂
What time of year did you guys head up there?
This was in march
What’s the song’s name?
What time? I got you haha
the hill you said no go to you would have had no problem. I did the entire trail in mine to include the chute with no damages. well the factory side steps got dinged and scratched but that's it. it's super capable. after reading your specs have way more suspension mods than I did too. all I had was the eibach snap ring pro lift
The grill still needs a screen behind it to keep bugs and smaller rocks from hitting that intercooler.
Barbless hooks dude wtf. Do some research or have some common sense.
First time there in 1964. Primitive before loggers built roads and ruined it.
Looks like a great trip! That area is really nice!
Get a fly rod quit using that spinning rod and read up on the regs on the body of water you’re fishing. Ignorance isn’t a excuse to get out of a fine..
Awesome vid ! What time of the year was this ?
This was in march I believe
Super cool video ! I plan to go in beginning of March and trout fishing for the first time. I fish a lot in the ocean and bays. If you don’t mind what size hook and eggs were those
Nice video Brother!! Can’t wait to go back this spring. Love that place! Thanks for taking us with you. I was there October 2020 with my daughter and it was freaking cold, 12°. Colorado Native here but hey, cold is cold no matter where you’re at. Just beat a snowstorm on our way out. Peace
Great run!!! Awesome video. Thank for sharing.
Really, wearing a mask in the woods?
Bro! Welcome to my neighborhood! This is where I live and work, I know, it's tough but somebody has to catch all those fish!
Where do you enter this trail?
Good video man, beat that ranger! Funny you mentioned dirtnation, the 3 trucks that passed by you are crew members! Stay safe man and happy trails 👣
This is what I’m talking about fishing and over landing keep up the good work guys
Great video; thanks
Where do you get that trim kit tool used for the tabs removal??
Amazon has sets of them for cheap.
Would you ever consider a full size truck?
I just bought a ranger!! FX4
Awesome video, I’ve been there, just a word of advice, that’s a wild trout area, there’s special regulations when it comes to fishing, mainly barbless hooks and no bait or scented lures
Yup. Pretty big fine if you get caught. The real reason tho is the fish will die if you use barbed hooks.
Also believe there are regulations on fishing past dark in that area. Hopefully a fish and game officer doesn't see this video
100% a bunch of regs in this area. Safe bet to just go barbless
Curious of your mods, the Ranger really did great.
Good video. I did that trail with my '16 Honda Pilot AWD and now I want to go back in my Ranger. Tried to camp near the river/tree area deeper in but after seeing the stars, the meadow is the place to be I think. Did you guys see the milky way?
Do you drop into 4 low for those crawling sections?
Why would those people take a 2wd stock truck out there that's just dangerous
I had that same thought lol
but it's "trail rated" bro... :)
Nice video. Love to see you out enjoying this area. I want to check it out soon. I just got into fly fishing. I believe that section of river is classed as wild and scenic and I think it is artificial lures and barbs less hooks only . I am not sure of the keeper refs. You were handling the fish very carefully nice job. . When you go to bait it is much easier to hurt the fish, that is one re I switched to fly fishing I was messing up some rare wild trout here in San Diego bait fishing with small treble hooks. . I got a cheap fly fishing outfit in Amazon and Mad RiverFly Fishing has great tutorials on RUclips. I can see way people fly fish ,the trout really hit the fly’s. I caught my first wild trout the other day Fly fishing. . Give it a try you’ll love it. Anyway I enjoyed watching. And will check out pt 2.
What size rim and tires are you running?
285/70/17 Running 17" Methods
@@socalranger6492 what suspension did you get?
@@slaychild1 Im on a set of fox 2.5 coils and piggy back shocks
Bro, put on you seat belt, lol
Use Gala GPS, maybe you can find the dirt road you are looking for. Good job Gabo on your first fish!!! Were you guys at Rivernook?
Ford Ranger 🇺🇸👍🏻 … much better than Toyota Tacoma.
