@20:45 This talk is out of date. "Avoid nuts and seeds" has been debunked. Nowadays the correct answer is A. Nobody ever suggests that E (increase fiber) is bad! It is really maddening how the medical community can't or won't get their act together on this.

Just had a colonoscopy, and the person that done it said i had Diverticulosis, and they had to change scopes because of a Fixed Sigmoid Diverticulosis, she said this is quite common and nothing to worry about, the colonoscopy was completed fully by the way, right to the terminal ileum and rest of examination was normal, i am 60 years old, so can someone tell me what a Fixed Sigmoid Diverticulosis actually is or means ? thx

And all of this simply leads to patients accessing the dark web, where all of this is available for a price. You professionals need to put in place more programs for addicted patients, rather than "policing" them for being addicted to powerful drugs that you never really explained to them in the first place! These drugs no doubt help people with very serious mental illnesses, but your professional has signed a deal with the devil, where money has permitted the use of these medications for people who are just going through a rough time!

I'm starting to believe that high acid has something to do with it. Every time I get gout and arthritis flares, I experience diverticulitis and depression. I have hiatus hernia - suffer gastric acid reflux and bile reflux every day. I am also gluten intolerant. If I eat bread, then starts the acid, then the colon inflames, and then the arthritis flare. My diverticular disease is inherited - my grandma had passed away because of diverticulitis. She also had bad arthritis, and also suffered from reflux acid.

Nice presentation. I’m going to disagree on a few things with no disrespect. If you are are going to tell me that genetically modified vegetables and everything else that is genetically modified and bio engineered so called food , full of GLYPHOSATE, PESTICIDES, is better for you than grass fed beef, I’m going to ask you how could that possibly be? The real reason your patients and many others around this country are sick with this disease, is the food supply. GMOS, PESTICIDES. I understand your medical process, but your theories couldn’t be further from the truth. I understand you’re a doctor. I won’t tell you what I am just for the fact that it’s held privately. I agree with you on some things, but there are multiple things that I don’t agree with and I don’t mean that with any disrespect, I mean that with just pure logic . Answer that question for me if you will please.. thank you

Why does the Ann Arbor MI VA continue to deny health care to transgender veterans like myself ? I have sat in the A2VA waiting lobby there while they said they were trying to find a doctor or other caregiver to help me. Later at 6pm asking me why are you still here? Come back tomorrow... this continued for the next two days until in the late after noon of the third day someone saw me. With a fever and internal infection, the pharmacy closed for the day, then telling me we will mail you the antibiotics later. While I hope for a change in the National VA care practices for the sake of other veterans, who ever that is, I am not holding my breath and I am not going back to a third world health care system such as the va.

Probably the numbers are high for white women because of racism. Practitioners that work in the medical industrial complex believe white women over Black, Brown women about pain and symptoms. I got taken seriously with my symptoms, in part because i am white.

@DaveOriginallyfromBrooklyn I think lisaganser has a point. With chronic kidney disease for example Black people didn't used to get treatment until the disease had progressed further than whites. The numbers for kidney function for Blacks used to be multiplied by 1.2. This meant it took longer foe Blacks to receive treatment This has now stopped as it is recognised to be racist. The rationale for this negative adjustment of the figures is that Blacks are meant to have greater muscle mass than whites

Fiber is one of those things that seriously needs to be studied along side exercise. We use it as one of of the 3 golden scapegoats for any sickness we may have 1 lack of fiber 2lack of exercise 3 too much red meat/fats That last one really bust my balls bc what’s the deal with red meat ?! You mean the same proteins made of carbon and nitrogen compounds!! Or the same fat that every single cell uses as a cell membrane. Cholesterol was there and for some is still one of the golden scapegoats that even tho it’s the same as fat! Needed for every single cell to function properly

    • @DaveOriginallyfromBrooklyn

My GPs and Consultants need to watch this video. To be candid they are useless. My Knee consultant can not even read a CT scan and diagnose CPPD. True my CPPD does not match any of your picture. Last March I had a left knee replacement in Lithuania. After consulting a English knee consultant the previous August. My left knee was still swollen and slightly warm in July. My Physiotherapist returned me to my GP who that evening referred me to an the Urgent treatment Center in my local hospital without seeing me. I was admitted with a CRP of 160 it should be 0-9. I was diagnosed straight with an infection in my left knee. The knee days later was aspirated and nothing found. Then days later my knee was washed out and again Microbiology found nothing. I was kept in on IV antibiotics for 12 days then discharged on oral antibiotics for 6 weeks. Went back for a consultation on the Tuesday the week before I had been walking without crutches Monday morning I could hardly get out of bed. Because I had a consultant appointment the Tuesday afternoon I hung in there. Saw the consultant and explained these antibiotics were not working as my CRP level was going up and down multiple times in the 8 weeks. My blood was tested again CRP level was 180, Admitted in to hospital, Following day the Head Orthopaedic consultant did his round and stated I did not have an infection in my knee and told his minions to find out what was wrong with me. Following day I was diagnosed with CPPD given Colchicine and discharged I now take 2 tablets of Colchicine twice a day. Colchicine dose which I am on is great at tidying up after a CPPD attack I was getting them weekly. Started eating large salads daily where I was eating them 4 times a week, My CPPD attacks have been very reduced.

I had to go into my little hospital here in Minnesota three times before they would order a CT scan. Last time I was holding the lower left abdomen in my hand very painful. I have a couple problems I also have GERD so I am very sensitive to most medications and especially the 875 Augmentin that they put me on I am halfway through it and feels like I'm having heart flutters or PVCs or something. I got a copy of my CT scan and for the first time it talked about "fat stranding." What exactly is that and how much will it help to change my diet even though I'm within a mile of McDonald's? Prior to my diagnosis I've had been diagnosed with chronic constipation. My first battle of diverticulitis I showed up constipated and after about 4 days on antibiotics I felt "regular" again. Makes me wonder how much of my constipation is due to diverticular disease. I had a colonoscopy one year ago and the doctor found many diverticuli and and removed a couple of polyps. My emergency room doctor recommended I redo the colonoscopy because of the dense area in my sigmoid colon of diverticula and fat stranding.

If it is the motive of not wanting to work with external rewards, then if you build in intrinsic rewards, like values it can't really be considered malingering? you would use procrastination as a motive forward. Also, use of self-fulfilling prophecies. I am not malingering to be a positive self-fulfilling prophecy, and malingering to be a negative self-fulfilling prophecy, remember you can say this out loud. Not everybody knows or understands psychology. Also thank you for not saying that it is a character issue, which might affect one's core beliefs about oneself. which can have a significant negative impact. From an intellectual perspective, it makes sense because single-tasking addresses the concerns. Talking about biases, and taking a scientific approach with some data makes it believable. Whenever one brings research I would trust it a little bit more. Some people might not be aware they are doing it, or how to change it? So it's difficult because we don't know the nature of the claims, by the patient, or the organization.
