Not faulting the young men in this at all. TKD has gone down hill so badly since the mid to late 1980's. I will say that ITF matches are way better than WTF. Now that it has lost it's status as an Olympic Sport I hope they can roll back the rules to the late 1970's early 1980's.

This is a great fight, I can FEEL the tension and attacks, great fight!

For me this is poor show and messy/impractical like WTF TKD. yeah, something happened to many IFT associations world wide, the hands/guard is gone? and unbelievably, they seems to be trying to emulate those silly WTF donkey kicks, that trained fighters, should know how to easily deal with. In my day, your hands were up/80% of your offensive/defensive moves, was punches. You used your leading leg to get in, and try finish off an opponent, after a punching combination with a good leg technique. Get the hands up guys, forget those donkey kicks. my first Korean instructed told us, your hands are your fastest and most versatile weapons, this is the art of hand and foot, your kicks are the big heavy guns, to support good punching technique. ITF needs to go to the ring, drop the open floor format, I know it makes setting up competitions a lot harder, but boxing clubs manage to do it.
