Marcus Henry finds one of the true last of the buffalo. A hard 18 miles on horseback in new country paid off. A slow year for us for sheds but this was well worth it and for sure a memory we will never forget. Any educated guesses on how old this grandpa is please let me know. Thank you.

I fully agree with knowledgeable Sportsman that says he'd never harvest either of these bulls after their scrape..!! Their meat would be tough and tainted with bowls full of testosterone and yucky to the taste! All experienced and choosy Sportsmen would know this, which is why I chose my hunting partners very carefully. Bwana Obie

Not that it made much difference here, but if you wear your hat forward the human face is a little less recognizable in the extra shade. Even with full camo the use of light and shade makes a big difference. Anything to break up the human form animals see as a threat.

I watch a lot of Elk and Mule deer hunting videos here on YT, and I have to say that I enjoyed your video more than the majority of those that I’ve watched…no annoying music to start the video, or in the middle….just showing the Elk, the mountains and the environment you were hunting…..nature at its best…you chose to hunt with a Bow..and a recurve at that…which narrowed you chances at a harvest..but, it probably made you a better hunter…Congratulations..I’m looking forward to your next video…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

One time on an Amtrak train in Colorado about 100 yards from my window I saw a huge bull elk shedding his huge horns on a tree. Then behind him about 10 yards I saw a cow followed by 18 other elk cows in a straight-line heading up the hill towards the bull elk. One hell of a harem for that fella!!
This is how I shot my bull last year! They get very distracted fighting an then its time to close distance for a shot! Sweet film!

When Bulls get to that magic 6x6 size with rakers that go ALLLLLL the way past their back they are just incredible.
