I appreciate your video. I use BT on my apple trees (var. Kurstaki) because we have many caterpillars that develop their 1st or 2nd instar around this time and have a devastating effect on the apple tree 🌳 leaves. It has been effective in past seasons, but I am worried because I understand this bacteria in the liquid formulation does not have a long shelf life. It only last up to 3 years. Should i be worried that what i have left over from purchase three years ago is not still effective?
Maximum Shelf life of the Microbial Inoculants is 6 to 8 months only
Very informative
Thank you

The concept is really good. There is just an advice that kindly try to make the 3rd and 4th option of most questiona gets hide behind the caption making it difficult to read it. You can either remove 2 options or edit the font size. Thank you

so i want to ask, this technique only identifies the morphology of the bacteria flagella and not whether it is gram positive or gram negative? and also what would be observed under the microscope
Hiiii.... Flagella staining shows the arrangement of Flagella only... If you want to know whether the bacteria belongs to Gram Positive or Gram Negative, you need to perform the Gram Staining Technique...
Alright thanks. my next question is, when viewing under the microscope at x100, is the oil immersion applied on the cover slip or on the suspension directly @@saranslearnmicrobiology
Please i reaallly need this info for my presentation tomorrow. you are a savior though.. you gave me a more understandable version of this method of flagella staining
Yes... Usually we will not add Immersion oil in the coveslip but this Flagella Staining is different because "Focusing the microscope on the cells attached to the coverslip rather than on the cells attached to the slide facilitates visualization of the flagella. The precipitate from the stain is primarily on the slide rather than the coverslip".
