Courtship of Eddie's Father Season 2 All Intros & Tags Part 1
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.3 года назад
Episodes of season 2 have a tag at the end of the episode similar to the intros. I include some title sequences but try not to repeat the same ones. And I kept a few seconds of episode 2 in here because it had Jodie Foster. Season has the same end credits for all episodes, will be included in part 3.

Legend of the Lone Ranger cantina scene

Over an hour into this movie in the theatre when I was a kid and we finally got to a scene with the Lone Ranger, and I thought, "All right! Here we go." And then the rest of the movie was crap.

Self-proclaimed white supremacist, John Wayne is happy to find out that Jimmy Stewart is part of the club!!! WOW
Bill Bixby was a very handsome man
I like that Courtship of Eddie's Father that was my favorite show we watched as kids it was fun to watch
Good! I’m glad Jimmy Stewart was racist, makes me ❤ him even more! We’re supposed to be racist and love our own people more than others. We’re supposed to take care of our own and not open the doors and worry about strangers all the time. This is what’s bringing America to its knees!! And all dominated and being pushed on us by a certain smallhat tribe.
Lol. I'm not sure Jimmy Stewart would agree with all that. But he might. Who knows?
Fond fond memories. When I was a boy this is a life I yearned for but it was pretend. When I was older and had a son, I couldn't help but to love him like this and we still have a wonderful relationship. As a boy I thought how much I missed out on dad. But as a father I look back and realize how much he missed out.
What a doofus 😂
John Ford was a genius his films truly stand the test of time
Those father and son chats followed by the theme song made for delightful intro to the episodes. Thanks for compiling the introductions.
I used to watch this show when I was a kid. Im 60 now and it's kinda strange being the same age as old people.
James Stewart, Cary Grant and David Niven were the very best.
He was a disgusting racist. Period
Harry Nilsson!! Genius:)
GOOD OL DAYS FR! I couldn't wait as a very young child ti watch this show everyday! My youngest son who's 31 even knows the theme song from me singing it periodically around the house!😂❤

This was such a great show i used to watch the reruns when i was little of this The Flying nun and room 222
Thank you.
Clip from one of my favourite documentaries on John Ford. Love these clips
John Ford was a great director and the film she made were great because of his great direction and vision. That being said, it appears he enjoyed playing mind games with actors. Putting some on his good list and others on his shit list. Then, when it was expedient for him, he would switch things. Maybe this was his way to create competition among the actors and, thus, better performances. I dunno
I liked the movie better.
I loved this show! The good old days!
I totally watched this show. I really remember the In Color logo that came on the screen. Color was a big deal. Good memories.
Excellent!! Thank you 😢
Between this and The Point, Harry Nilsson was such a touchstone in my childhood... Mr Rodgers, Sesame Street, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prarie were so warm and loving. ❤❤❤
who has a broader acting range? Robin Williams Morgan Freeman Dustin Hoffman
What's crazy is, that is something John Wayne would have said since he was a flat out racist
Shaq brought me here
Some things that have been coming out about John Ford makes him sound like an extremely vile human being. One book on Peter O'Toole quotes him as saying that Ford would go to Ireland and pick up child prostitutes. It didn't explain how he would know that. But, these rumors were circulating and some other rumors about him appear to be true so it is possible O'Toole's allegations could be true also. Just from his harassment of cast and crew though shows there was something wrong with him, despite John Wayne's love for him.
Thanks for the anecdotes. I have seen a few films from Ford but I don’t idolize him as a filmmaker... I saw «the searchers» and I found it so overrated! I wonder if there’s a link with what you say about prostitutes and the recent depiction of Ford in S.Spielberg’s film «The Fabelmans». At the end of the movie we see Ford (D.Lynch) coming into his office with red lipstick all over his face. Spielberg tells this same story in a video but doesn’t explained the kisses!
@@marcl2213 I believe the O'Toole quotes were from the 2015 biography Peter O'Toole Hellraiser. I was very taken aback by what O'Toole said about Ford and even the way it was said. The author did not give the sources of these quotes apart from it being said by O'Toole. There's a lot of stuff about Ford where he just sounds like such a nasty jerk. I do have several of his movies I'm sorry to say, but, the more I find out about him the less I want to watch them.
Jimmy Stewart was the essence of humility. War hero, great actor and unassuming. If only, today we had.......
One of my favorite "Golden Age of Hollywood" actors, along with James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, Orson Wells, Edward G. Robinson, Spencer Tracy, John Wayne, Henry Fonda (should never start naming names, don't wanna' stop), etc.
😂😂😂
They had Stacy Keach dub the whole film.
When my mom and dad split back in the 70s, this show kept me warm. I really appreciated it, thanks for putting this together.
Love that he calls him “Duke Wayne” lol
Goes to show how racist Ford was but very cleverly turned it back on James Stewart
pithy
That's amazing! 🙂
They had wokes back then.
John Ford sounds like he was a real pos
He was A Racist...
Go cry.
lol I always thought that was an accent/style of speaking that he put on for his m-m-m-movies 🤦🤣
The great honor of my life is to have been raised by parents from the Greatest generation. And Jimmy Stewart just oozes with that humble yet intelligent spirit so prevalent in their time. The more they pass on the more I miss them.
Welcome to the club Here’s your white pointy hat J Wayne was a racist ..ss Most of my heroes don’t appear on no stamp
Yes, but Stewart wasn't one really. He's way of being an interviews never took on actual racial ideologies as Wayne
How did we go from great actors and human beings like him to the snowflakes we have now???
As a relatively young person I would give ANYTHING to have been an adult in the era of the 20's 30"s-40"s when America was new, sweet and kind (I know we had war) The music was romantic and tender, the homes were gorgeous and Americans dressed beautifully just to go shopping for groceries or to do their errands and there were NO drug addicted tent dwelling loafers laying on sidewalks...Only in my dreams and the old movies, or another country
Good ole Bogdonovich asking the question.
Mr. Strode was well aware of who was the racist and who was not.
Ford never forgave Wayne for his cowardice during the war.
I heard a story that Stewart tried to sign up before America was in the war but he was too skinny to pass the physical. (later the Army wasn't so picky.) so he increased his weight by holding in his poop for several days until we weighed enough to pass. i don't know if its true.
One of my favorite shows
John Ford was a brilliant director, but from everything I've read about him, he was a miserable, bigoted drunk, which was acceptable to society back then because he made good movies!
Boy those brigadier generals get a touch salty
