also i think groups even play into acting like they are all genuinely close but some of them have no chemistry and its obvious that some members act like theyre above their other members because of the whole it girl and it boy thing

i have an unpopularish opinion on i dont think one sole person can direct nor lead a group. if they have even 8 members they should have a spare leader to put the leader position on one person is obscene. and blackpink shouldve had a leader fyi thats why they had no one to hold them accountable for their half assing behaviours and diva like tantrums. girls really made it look like they didnt want to do it half the time. so if a group really wants to be in order but for one person or member to solely lead it / solve the problems / deal with conflict it must be quite tiring. they should start sharing positions in that case otherwise some members going to be overwhelmed with just having to lead and fix what is going wrong with their group and like some members or idols can seem really challenging to deal with too. but also if they are debuting a new group they shouldnt base it off former og idols, ie: if theres jennie please can they avoid making a jennie 2.0 or 3.0 cause one jennie is bad enough. the agencies always mention star quality but im not really seeing much of it and i think idols in my age bracket were given positions that didnt suit them or they couldnt fulfill it and even now they still stick out like a sore thumb or feel like a fraud because they didnt take enough lessons or they didnt have a leader or two leaders.

jisoo isnt much of a performer eek i want to like her but girl gives nothing no matter what she seems to be doing shes got weak af vocals and limited stage presence and without her members its obvious same with lisa. i think people adored blackpink so much that when they dont do as well they only just realised they failed to critique the members when they were in the group

survival shows are just popularity / cuteness pagaents at the end of the day the judges votes mean nothing and they get in for stupid reasons like being cute enough, i dont think their groups are ever taken seriously enough in the long run and are only temporary just like pd48 and so on they overhype these project groups and then they disband in short time and so people should already expect that from past shows that theyve done. it seems they dont do much else but mold the kids yes kids because theyre usually all minors that debut anyway, they mold them into being dollike just like their idols. not that its bad if they really want to be exactly like their beloved idols but i find it mundane that they dont have a good eye nor go for those with experience they just base of off who looks or functions like an idol

I'm so glad you made the distinction between virtual idols and "AI" in this video. I'm as vocal as the next person against the use of AI, but seeing misinformation being spread on what truly constitutes "AI" has caused the term to be spread around like a negative buzzword just to downplay the effort and skills required to make these virtual idols successful. Heck, even these "AI-antis" have went as far as equating CGI to AI. For some reason CGI = bad now when there's so much skill required to make CGI look good and integrated. It is cost saving but it isn't always gimmicky. There's real people who went through art school for their degree that works behind these videos. Genuinely, I'm upset how they'e often the loudest voices in the kpop community and a person who wouldn't know any better would see this being echoed, and just take it as it is and run with this ideology. Plave is literally just vtubers if they were a kpop group, so I don't get this hatred certain kpop fans have towards them for "not being authentic" when its literally just 5 guys with a vtuber avatar 😭 Also I'm so tired of SM's AI bullshit. They have the money and resources, why are they investing it into such technologies instead of real artists? They're literally a company in a creative industry. It takes away so much soul and credibility from their work. They have such good concepts and storyline, in fact I've always lauded them as the company with the best promotional and packaging design , so imagine my disappointment when those red velvet teaser photos dropped. Like just one comeback before I was cheering over how good the execution of Chill kill's concept was, especially since they got the myth, the goat, the legend Cho Giseok on it. There was so much intent behind those designs, while AI-produced work has none. If they do continue to use AI in the future, I hope they don't heavily rely on it in the finished product as they currently do now. AI should always be used as a tool and as an aid, not a replacement for actual human creativity and passion. I hope AI doesn't get more prevalent in this industry, it'll ruin so much of what kept me being a fan these past few years

I usually support HYBE but ya. The over pricing is too much . I am with the boycott on overpricing. Also , " BTS paved the way" is true. But I don't think it's necessary to create a war over people who disagree with this facts. BTS did contributed a big portion in the popularization of KPOP across the world but that doesn't mean BTS was the only first one . There were indeed many before BTS , although not many made an impact as big as BTS but they did contributed in the process in making the way for BTS . Like PSY, bigbang, Twice. Even BTS themselves agree that PSY make it possible for them to atleast be visible in the west. Fans started being curious about Kpop through PSY , they started exploring. Many got more interested in BTS caz of their uniqueness and slowly fans started joining the fandom. The Fandom called ARMY grew and became the biggest in the world.. But this don't mean everyone gotta agree with everything. We just need to be respectful of each other's different opinions and live our own life. ( For the context, I am an ARMY. but I still respect all the other artists who worked hard to be where their all are. ) ( not gonna comment on NJ & MHJ, I am done with these ppl)

I think dance is sth that she kinda proud of but reality is pretty harsh @@ her dance skills still can’t compete with any one on the same gen. Don’t even mention older or younger gen. Can’t sing, dance not even top of her gen, stage presence nearly zero, sometimes she even got outshine by Sakura, not even that high in term of eq and maybe iq. And the most important is its not look like she improved “enough “. I protected her for a pretty long time till the coachella thing, the hate train after that kinda crush anyone stand up for them so all of them have to “get gud” at some point from now on.
