Do you mind if I add you so you can build this in the offical Minecraft nene valley railway it would really help
@@Heritagerailwayguy Thank you, but I don't really play Minecraft anymore unfortunately. Feel free to check out my other NVR loco builds though 😊
This is great, and I was happy to see you had a video on the Wismar Railbus Pigs Snout as they are also called, they are very distinctive, and appeal to my curious love of something different. A nice railway you have.

New track and rolling stock look great. 😊
@@paulbarham8295 Thanks for watching
What a nice share friend! Enjoyed the content and subbed
Not really but food
Thanks a million.
Beautiful.... thank you
Omg this steam fair is massive. Looks bigger than great Dorset and that was cancelled this year as you are aware. Too expensive to put on. I live over 4 hours away and no car. Thank you so much for posting your video 😊👍
@@petergregory6185 yes it certainly was a huge show and was great. I thought it would make a good substitute for the Dorset steam fair as I was going to visit that for the first time this year before I knew it was cancelled and the Weeting fair looked quite good in the adverts so I thought why not? And I’m glad I visited! 😊
Great content but could do with image stabilisation
Loved the video. Thanks for posting. Looks like a fantastic day
@@paulbarham8295 it was a great day out!
ouch, hope everyone's alrught
@@inkysquid4 yeah everyone was ok luckily, however the 1 million pound car or thereabouts was not ok 😬😬

@@OldArkwright yes all ok here thanks.
How do you make the front of the buffers black?
@@Heritagerailwayguy filled in an entire chunk in black concrete and then opened a map so it just showed up the black concrete and placed the map in an item frame.
Nice

Great video, greetings 👍🚂
I don't get people's obsession with the title, I read that and just thought 'working it hard!'
love it, well done

Thank you!
the old spam can looks great! Also, Wansford Cam back online??
Brilliant thanks for watching. Yes wansford is online but only on Railcam website
@@CustomiZe_ rip. Tbf hadn't thought of that, maybe Arkwright follows that chat lol
It's so sad that the mighty Deltic in its retirement often runs on a single engine. The roar of a Deltic at 50mph accelerating away was always a breath-taking moment. The ECML at Retford southbound over the bridge was a wonderful place to see these magnificent engines so many years ago.
Yes however I'd rather it run on a single engine than not at all.
This summer are good for mini heatwave conditions in mid and late 20’s soon in UK
At Great Central Railway we asked why they do that and were told it is because the 2nd engine idles up to 25mph, the speed limit on heritage railways, so there is no point in running one engine idling all day, this was a modification made to the locomotives when steam heating was no longer used.
Thanks for the response. I suspect the guys at Barrow Hill might have a technical view on that. My point was not about the "why", it was about regret and sounds and memories, it was not a complaint. My comment was, "It's so sad that the mighty Deltic in its retirement often runs on a single engine. The roar of a Deltic at 50mph accelerating away was always a breath-taking moment. The ECML at Retford southbound over the bridge was a wonderful place to see these magnificent engines so many years ago." Where is the perceived complaint in that?
@@PhilMacVee Yes I know and it was the same for my friend at the gala, who's favourite locomotive is the Deltic. I did not take it as you were complaining, just thought I would tell you the reason we were told why we are not treated to a full on sound. We were thinking the cost of fuel or hopefully not an engine problem. It was one of the Deltic support crew we asked. He said the idling engine supplies power for the train heating whilst the other provides traction power. I remember years ago the heating used to go off as they accelerated he said that was before the modification was done. The first time I saw one at speed was through Peterborough, before that day I had only seen then departing stations, always remember that day what a sound.
Lovely little railway you have, just wondering what the history is with the very well worn green stainz loco? Looks like it’s done a LOT of miles😊
It certainly has done a lot of miles! Both green Stainz's used to operate at Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth, so they used to operate all day everyday until they broke down. Then they would be fixed and then run again until they broke, so they have a lot of wear and tear on them. I bought them in non working order and fixed them up. I plan to convert them into a more British style engine in the near future 👍
@@CustomiZe_ ah so that’s where there from, I’ve got several x display locos from gypsy wood park in north wales, I must admit I like the battered patina they have from there hard useage so I keep them as they are cosmeticly and just make them run again😁
I rode on this train! The sights are incredible!
Umm..... I don't think you did. This is a garden railway, i don't think you'll fit in the coaches at 1:22 scale 😉 Thanks for watching though. 😊 Unless you mean the actual Stainz loco in real life.
Thrash, as in railfan speak of being driven to effect, not meaning badly. Hoping to see some ‘thrash’ at the GWSR steam gala tomorrow!
Unfortunate 🤣
The fact that the fps matches the wheels lmao
Oh yeah I hadn't noticed 😅
You know why they said "trash" it made you lot come here and comment lolololol. Yep perfectly normal steam start and run.
You lot are so pedantic and petty, just shut up and enjoy the video. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all
Thank you!!
An ex BR engine thrashed at 25mph 😂😂😂
Can’t see anything wrong with that.
What's everyone's problem with the title? It's a well-known expression among train enthusiasts, meaning that we'll get some entertainment in the video. That's all.
Thank you! I'm glad someone understands 😊
Silly misleading title, loco handled well, plenty left.
I do miss 78018 at the evr
sounds beautiful!!
What Heritage Railway is this please ?
Ecclesbourne Valley Railway
"Trotting like a well-bred pony!" No thrash here! 🙂
Someone else earned the DRC.
Was this click bait or ignorance of how locos should be worked?
A term some train enthusiasts use to mean working hard
Hey Custom, dunno whether you still recognise me from the old Railcam (With the likes of Old Arkwright), it's been a while. Great video, and shots! I do miss the chat on the cam.
Hey inky, of course I remember you! It was great fun chatting on the camera with you and Arkwright. I miss it a lot as well. Thank you for tuning in again 👍😊
@@CustomiZe_ do you know what happened to the chat on it? It's a shame Railcam have gotten rid of it
@@inkysquid4 yeah not 100% sure why they got rid of it, i think it might've been to do with a lot of chat sections on the cameras having bots and hate comments 🤔
@@CustomiZe_ such a shame. Hopefully Arkwright watches some of your videos or something. I keep up with the blog, he puts a decent amount up on that.
@@inkysquid4 oh yeah I completely forgot about the blog. I have to keep an eye on the NVR Facebook pages for any updates now
Good ride by the sound of it.
Certainly was! Thanks for watching
Listen to Argo Transacord record "Newfoundland Heads the Waverley" to hear what thrashing sound like.
Yes I have that recording
That's just standard loco driving. You should have seen some BR drivers in the 1960's
It is getting to the stage where anything on the internet cannot be trusted
