Awesome narration. Keeps people engaged and interested. Otherwise it's just a dull ride in the car on a rainy gray day.
Thanks Donna! I probably wouldn't have made the video except it was New years day. Looking forward to a good snow dash soon hopefully! That'll spice things up.
That looks a lot like Bridgewater Commons, near me. The last time I was there half the shops were closed. I wonder if most of the shops are open again.
Interesting Das. Maybe some of the stores are reopening. Last time I was at the Galleria, probably 2 years ago, it was ghostly quiet. I was pleasantly surprised to see at least some people there this year. Hope it survives. I remember years ago at Christmas time when you could barely walk through the crowds of people. It was hectic but also very fun. Hope we don't lose this great part of Americana. Good old Malls. I just got back from the Fashion Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls. Did a nice video I'll be posting of it too. It was very busy! Hope they make a comeback.
I go at the galleria nice mall
It really is Evelyn.
Growing up in Maine I've only seen true blizzards like this perhaps a half-dozen times, but that was back in the day - late '60s, earlier 70s. I completely understand your eagerness to get out there and in it! But, this one was no joke...others did perish. I hope you found something toothsome back at home to satisfy your appetite? I hope too - you were able to find your scarf your Mom knit for you? I'm over here north of Rochester now...hoping we'll have us a real winter, too! Take good care, sure enjoyed the walk...
Thanks for chiming in with your interesting take Dave. (My name as well) This storm caught even the most hardened snowstorm lovers amongst us off guard. Me included. As children we would put on our snorkel jackets and do "explorations" into the snowstorms. We would climb snowdrifts that were as high as the power lines. This one was different. Tim Hortons never closes...always open to serve plow drivers and emergency personnel. Never expected to find them closed. Which blew my plan to take refuge there and catch my breath for the return walk home consequently. Never did find the incredible scarf my mother knitted. Very sad and precious price to pay for the walk. But I knew it had to be done, and I'd done it easily 1,000 times so I knew the path well. So, I felt very confident I could make the short walk. What I didn't anticipate, there was more snow than air. Breathing almost felt like suffocating. Facing the wind was knocking the air out of my lungs. Not so much on the walk back. Much easier. Had I started the walk with the wind at my back I might have walked further, and I believe if I had done that I might not have made it back facing the wind. Lack of oxygen was making me woozy. Yes, it was a tragic day indeed for Buffalo. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones on that Christmas Eve of all days. Terribly sad indeed. Hopefully we'll learn from this and never repeat that tragedy again. Hopefully the next snowstorms will be a little gentler, but as always, I along with many others, truly can't wait! Thanks Dave, take care and be safe!
keep doing videos like this showing up state New York, just moved up in Orange County from the city of New York is beautiful and it has a lot of hidden gems. I dint even know this location was called the souther tier now I know. 👍
Thanks for letting me know Obi! Very happy you enjoy the videos. I had a heck of a time with bug splats on the windshield on that southern tier expressway run, Things you'd never think of when you do this kind of thing. Hopefully we'll get some snow soon that'll be fun. I'm just getting started so look forward to much more. Thanks again Obi! That is a beautiful stretch of highway down there if you ever get the chance.
I lived in Buffalo during grad school and biked around a lot. I moved back to SE Asia afterward, but a part of me is still in WNY. Thank you so much for the nostalgia ❤
Thanks for your kind remarks. Glad you enjoy the videos. We do have a special treasure here with all the beautiful lakes, rivers and trails. Keep on riding and happy trails to you!
Thanks for the feedback and glad to see the bike is holding well. I just ordered one. Was the assembly difficult?
Hey Rusty, no it wasn't. I had mine together pretty quick. Remember to reverse the handlebar stem if you want a more comfortable feel to the handlebars. Brings them further back so you don't have to reach forward for them.
I wish I could do it myself! I’d love this type of upgrade!
Hi Shelly. Yeah the bike is very comfortable...nice to be able to take all day trips. I'm surprised they don't offer a 48 volt battery option for it. If I was in charge at Heybike they would.
@@4kbuffalowalkride722 The 36V doesn’t have enough torque for the hills. I’m in the Catskills so I’d really appreciate much more torque. I have multiple batteries but when I carry a spare with me I lose torque to the added weight.
This is helpful, because I don't think Cityscape v1 or Mars v1 batteries are available anymore. So eventually as our batteries lose their ability to hold a full charge we will have to get alternative batteries.
wow...that's unfortunate. I just went to their website and not only are you correct but the batteries they do offer are grossly overpriced. Definitely a weak spot for the company apparently. They make a great affordable bike like the cityscape and pull the battery support. Makes no sense. The cityscape to me reminds me a little of a stock car. I knew immediately I'd go to work souping it up. Because you can. Unlike many other styles of bikes. If they knew that, they could capitalize on it with a cult following of cityscape owners souping up their bikes. imo
Wow pretty good show!
Yes they really did a great job this year DAS. It wasn't quite up to snuff last year with covid and all but glad I was able to catch the rebound show. Thanks DAS
very nice!
Glad you enjoyed it Amy! It was a beautiful show on a beautiful night!
Thank you for sharing!
Wow! That was amazing! The teaser mini finales were nothing compared to the sky exploding at the end! Great job on recording this epic fireworks show!
Thanks Donna! Yeah they didn't dissapoint this year no doubt! Absolutely explosive dislpay this year again! I ended up wandering amelessly and found myself suddenly at absolute ground zero with the best seat in the house along with one other guy on a bike. His name is Mike, he told me he used to be a tin knocker! Turns out he worked with Ron Penny! Unbelievable night!
Thanks! Can you please post the 36V to 48V conversion video? Been hoping to see it.
Hey Landslave! I shall post the video which I just took in the coming days just have to process it my friend. Appreciate your interest!
Just finished the video my friend. Replacing the original wire I used for the job in 2021 with a much higher quality wire. Thanks for kicking me in the butt and motivating me to finish the video. Hope you find it useful and a little entertaining as well!
@@4kbuffalowalkride722 you're the best. Thank you. Enjoy your summer.
Thanks Brother and good luck! I've just added chapter breaks to the video so you should be able to instantly jump to different steps of the procedures in the video much easier if you need to. Very happy to share this with you and others. I've had a ball riding the bike especially with the extra power and extended range. Hope you do too.
I am not trying to make this all about me, However it would be wonderful if you need content ideas for you to show how to identify and splice in extra tail and brake lights into the controller outputOn a typical e bike as I would like to add better brake lights and taillights for safety. Also, the current controller output is 6 V and everything available are 12 V lights, Is that going to be a problem? If you make such a video, heartfelt thanks in advance.
You are the uncle we all wish we had! Love how willing you are to teach. Thank you!
Hahaahaa! Appreciate that very much brother! 15,000 mile review and checkup coming very shortly! Just hit 14,700 on the 4th of July so it won't be long. Gonna show how to hook up a cool voltage monitor and cover all the upgrades as well. Thanks for the inspiration!
Did you see that meteor? (21:47)? Cool man
Looks like Haleys comet man! Wild! Thanks for pointing that out I missed it!
*Promosm* 💔
What tires do you have on there for snow? New to ebikes, just rode one for the first time today. Considering getting the cityscape for the wife
Hey Tacocat! Sorry for the delayed reply been a crazy week. I'm using Continental Max Contact tires..about $55 each. Definitely great riding tires. If I do another snow ride however I'll look into actual snow tires possibly with studs....wouldn't recommend riding in the snow unless you pad up. I took a couple spills that day. I'll try to do a video soon on how I modified the bike slightly to accept 48 volt batteries for much greater range than the 36v it comes with.
@@4kbuffalowalkride722 ok yeah I wasn't sure if you swapped them out for the snow. Wife probably won't do any snow, I was just curious. I wound up buying the cityscape (pink) and she took her first longer ride today and likes it a lot. I still have the regular pedal bike to try and keep up with her for now. I stick the vast majority of my two wheel $$$'s into my motorcycles. Thanks for the response and keep the vids coming!
Thats awesome! Glad she enjoys it....nothing like not having to pedal! I'll do a quick video soon on how to make a simple cruise control out of velcro tape. Works great on my thumb drive and is a big thumb saver plus it's great for dialing in especially slower speeds if you're not in a hurry! Appreciate it tacocat.
We like your videos. Thanks!
Thanks toner! Appreciate that a lot believe me! Just getting started and I'm still getting the kinks out. It's getting there!
There are various motorized and non-motorized mobility vehicles 🚗🏍🚴♀🛴🛹🕹🚁 that you may see on the streets of Surrey, BC. Some popular ones include: 1. Cars and trucks 🚙🚚: These are the most common vehicles on the road and are powered by gasoline, diesel, or electricity ⛽🔋. 2. Thats interesting info melody. What you're saying is they all share the road and look out for each other most likely more than here in the states. I'm still a bit hesitant to ride in the street with the cars but not quite all the way there yet. 🚦🛑🚧🚨
I love Niagara Falls. Your video made me feel like I was there again. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it Ann. No place in the world quite like Niagara Falls. It's like a majestic time machine up there. When I'm there I feel all the energy, the memories of past visits and people I've spent time there with through the years even back to childhood days, hard to describe. We're so lucky to have that here. I go as often as I can now. Never get tired of it. Any time of year including winter. Fireworks over the falls on weekends is great too. I miss it again already!
Cold week ahead....80 by next Sunday!
Super cool video! I suggest everybody crank the volume for crowd reaction when darkness set in!!!
Sounds like the seagulls went crazy early on too. You can hear them putting up quite a racket. Then it got so quiet you can hear the gravel under my shoes as I had to stand up. The temperature dropped very noticeably just before it got dark as well which was strange but cool.
Amazing video! One that doesn't even show the actual eclipse, because of the clouds of course, but the effects of it. Thanks!
Appreciate that Kevin thanks for the nice comment. I figured there would be plenty of videos showing the actual eclipse so I figured I'd try to find a spot with a clear view of both horizons. Ironically the clouds may have actually enhanced the video in that respect. I gotta say I'm still buzzing from the experience! It was strange, eerie, beautiful and awesome all at the same time! Thanks Kevin...Glad you enjoyed it and by all means share the video with your friends!
Great video. I'm a fan of your channel.
Thankyou for the nice comment my friend from Japan! Japan is such a cool place! You've got an amazing channel...I'm now a fan of yours as well!
Very cool! Love your accompanying music!
Got lucky with the selections.... they fit just right.
I'd love to hear a narration for the viewers from out of state or country who are fascinated with this area! God blessed you with a rich voice❤️
Thanks Donna...Survival was first on my mind on this one. But it was a one chance in a lifetime attempt. Didn't think I was going to make it but somehow it worked.

haha these are great! very inspiring, thank you for sharing!
I appreciate that very much my friend! Froze my pinkies off working with the ice but it was a true labor of love! Trying to turn lemons (cold dark bad weather) into lemonade...the iceman! Sad when the melting happened but like frosty the snowman says..."Ill be back again someday!" Always rewarding to see people smile and have had something to do with it. Thanks for stopping in and for the heartwarming comment walkeveryday!❤
Masakr!
I survived thankfully!
This is awesome! I am in NW Pa and miss out on the really big Lake Effect events… won’t miss anymore. Thank you. ❄️❄️☝️☝️
Gotta check for comments sorry I missed this. Thanks USA! Appreciate that very much. It's the spice of life here between November and April. Love the big snows now just as much as when I was a tot. Love your neck of the woods btw. Beautiful driving through there.
love it
Thanks Buddy! Now How's about whipping us up a tornado chase video! lol
@@4kbuffalowalkride722 ill try come spring time
Good morning!
how are you?~total perfect content, ;))
Thankyou very much! Have a wonderful holiday season my friemd!
Been there … Done that…😮
And we'll be there doing it again soon!
🖤
Are the two batteries connected together or do you use one battery up and then switch to the other one?
Thanks for your interest... I hook up only one battery at a time to power the bike. Once the first battery gets low I just unhook the Anderson connector and hook up the second battery. I'll be doing a video probably this weekend since we have rain coming. Going to re-do the hookup with a better more flexible cable from the junction in the control box. Thanks for asking sunset.

Alden has an amazing football field
Great work. Nice to see someone getting some real use out of a budget bike. I almost bought this one but went with the Lectric XP instead. But I still really like the simple dutch style design of the cityscape.
Thanks Maan! I went for this one for it's less obvious ebike appearance and it looked really comfortable which it is. Of course the seat post battery is a bonus I can't imagine doing without. Load a spare bat on the rack and I'm pushing over 90mi range almost no peddling. I knew I'd do some upgrades on it but the ability to switch up to 48v is extra sweet.
The Dutch do know the most about bikes.
wow that is some intense damage!
Hard to imagine ice did that. Glad I wasn't cruising the trail when it happened!
what's up my relatives in buffalo? i am sure you all know that george centeno and myself will be married this coming saturday at st clements church in santa monica california
Congratulations Susan! Hope it was a beautiful day!
363+nice weather
We get quite a variety through the Spring season you can say that for sure!
How did the car get so much snow on it in the garage?
Hi Anne! The wind was so strong that it picked up the snow off the ground and blew it into the air mixing it with the heavy snow that was falling as well. Much like a sand storm, the snow blew into any open spaces and settled where there was less wind, like that garage. So in some places you could actually see the grass still, other places that were shielded from the wind is where the snow settled or drifted. Thanks for asking Anne!
I enjoyed your video very much, thank you my good friend
I enjoy yours very much as well my far away friend!
Hello my new friend, the video was very good and entertaining and relaxing. Good luck
Goodness Thank You! I will look forward to viewing your videos as well. I've never been to Istanbul and now I can visit there thanks to you my new friend! Your videos look very inviting. Good luck to you also!
lol the people at the end go in the garage to fume up 🌲🌪😶🌫Cheers
Cheers Adam! Yes a very quick smoke you could say! 🕛🕝
Good to have a snow blower....Ill always remember this past christmas.
Yeah, sure will! I was too tired from getting outside shooting videos the previous days. Didn't do any shoveling that day like the people in this video. It was all melted and gone in a week believe it or not! Not for long! Thanks Capt!
excellent 💯
Thank You Ian! The Lakes are still ice free. Until they freeze the lake effect snow machine is just the next cold blast away from firing up. We're ready! ❄🌀☃
This is an amazing example of what that snow band looks like in the distance. People who haven't experienced this can't imagine what it's like.
You got that right of course! Next time I'll do a longer version timelapse. It's always an amazing sight even having lived here all my life.
