War Thunder - The B-29 Experience WITHOUT Dying
7.3 Air Realistic battle with the B-29A. Somehow managed to down a SAAB 105 that missed an air to air missile on a B-29. He lit a fire and took out engine 4 with guns before I downed him, but managed to extinguish the fire. I managed to make it to the bases on 3 engines where I encountered an Me262 and drove him away with some fighter support (Ty GatGotUrGun!). Then on the way back to base managed to shoot down an IL-28 coming for me. Lost engine 2 due to an oil leak, but with what power and altitude I had left, I was able to limp back home to base and land the crippled plane. The fly back to base and landing were by far the hardest part.

Straight from my favorite Star Trek movie, The Wrath of Khan, the famous Mutara Nebula battle between Kirk's Enterprise and USS Reliant commandeered by Khan. This is the Star Trek Legacy mission for it in game. Sorry for it being buggy; it's hard to make the game fully work with its age.

Went back for a replay from ground realistic. Did a decent bomb run and bagged an Me-262 with the F4U-4B Corsair. The Corsair variants are probably the planes I've spent the most time in in-game. I love the corsair and went out of my way to get halfway good with them.

Video I took of the Pirate assault to recapture Islamorada. The first part is closing range, the shooting mostly starts after 18:00. Played a surprisingly decent operation with battlecruiser HMS Renown. Decided to go back and get the replay to save. The replay is a little wonky, I had AP loaded the whole time so I don't know why it says HE the whole match. It also doesn't always line up with the actual rudder movements I was making. Decided to check out the new Drone Age update. Took out my reliable F4E into an Air Realistic match and got to see the new Frenchy jets on take off. Flew low along the river to stay hidden then popped up to missile strike an AI A-4B, then rotated down to chase a player MiG-27 and got a missile kill after some maunuvering. At br 3.3 you can go against missles. Very balanced gajin. Btw at br 3.3 you have slow planes with no flares so there is no counter.

No. The only way to go against jets with a ship is in a custom battle.

Depends on what ship you have and what kind/how many aircraft are attacking you. Some ships have great AA, some have none. some planes are good attackers, some are too slow
I have found the AAs are most effective against low flying target, or target diving straight at you...Otherwise, I think only Fast-firing gun like US 127mm, 76mm with VT fuse are the most effective against high flying maneuverable target. In sum up : the automatic short range AA are your best bet against air defense, naval guns are unreliable. This explain why the most broken shit thing in this game is the He-111 with Frit-X guided bomb, you climbed to 5km out of AA range and just poop it down. 90 % you got a hit on enemy ship, 100 % of destroying a Destroyer and guarantee a BB or CA will be crippled by that bomb. Or if you play Russia then take Pe-8 and shit a 5 ton bomb down on someone

It depends on what nations ships, USA has great anti air while the Japanese have lack lustre anti air

Had the executor been replaced with a Praetor battle-cruiser the fight would have been closer. Ney, even if it was not replaced, the outcome was obvious.
