Yep, def one of the strongest low tiers of gen 7. Mega camel is also super goated, terrain pulse and its new defensive utility really fixed a lot of its issues

this kind of depends on the format, OU yeah leftovers are fine gen 6. high level oras draft currently tends to be more HO oriented where sitrus, helmet or resist berries are still the better play. Like DFL ORAS I have only ever brought leftovers on registeel and each time I did that I ended up regretting it and wishing I ran sitrus for the extra burst or chople/occa to eat a specific hit better. leftovers best gen was probably gen 8 despite introduction of boots since that was a much bulkier meta draft wise and had a niche on levitate mons. I can't speak a lot about gen 7 draft since ngl, that was one of my weaker gens, but from what I remember z moves made it more HO oriented where sitrus/resist berries are the better play.

I can't recall Z moves ever being a problem in Gen 7 leading to more offense unless the league allowed Omni boosting z moves or something stupid like Kyurem Black. Also a lot of leagues made you draft a specific Crystal either for your entire team to use or for 1 mon. Most common users I can recall were like Kart and maybe Keldeo. In terms of how Gen 6 draft plays today, its likely a byproduct of modern gen metagaming creeping back into old formats. Sitrus, and resist berries have always had a place in draft. My point is that lefties were more viable back in the day and never bad. Maybe they are not optimal in a lot of scenarios but you also have to put them in context of a meta with less spikers and less hazard spam in general along with no heavy duty boots. leaving lefties as the premier way to re coup HP from passive hazard damage over the course of the game. Stall and semi stall was playable in draft in Gen 6 and 7. I can't really say the same in Gen 8 or 9 at least in nat dex.

Yeah gen 9 the only decent semistall players atm are prob Hoo (winner of BBR Scramble and doing ok in DFL gen 9 last I checked) and Seansters (member of KRASHGANG) but I usually only see Seansters in nat dex leagues. Gen 7 I can't speak to, but gen 6 how it plays today is dif since draft gameplay has evolved a lot over the years. Like back in 2016-2018 encore and custap were never run but now, they are accepted as top tier items/moves.

Azelf is def a solid mon, gets some of the more underrated moves in the game.

For sure, I used mandibuzz heavily in my top 16 finish of the smogon draft winter seasonal. people also sleep on its offensive sets. loaded dice bone rush can catch glimmora/heatran off guard and weak armor is a surprisingly good emergency check ability. People tend to treat it as a one trick pony when it does a lot more.

The calcs which I put up were for a timid Camerupt, it’s a lot stronger than it seems due to high bp stabs. Like to garunteed 2hko offensive lando t it only needs about 90 investment in sp attack. Usually camel will run life orb or an offensive boosting item if it goes mixed Polish or it is running mixed Polish because opponent has something physically frail. I’ll def eventually make a wigglytuff video, mon is a monster.

yep, by a decent amount. gren hits 377 speed but +2 camerupt is 392. Can outpace weavile/darkrai too.

High bp moves can save low attack stats, 110*1.5=165 base power. That is 37.5% stronger than base 80 stab moves.

I always love when I see a league prices it as 1 Tera cost, mon can play like much more.
