Impressions Gallery is charity that helps people to understand the world through photography.
We opened in 1972 as one of the first specialist photography galleries in the country, and have played a vital role in changing the way people think about photography. We continue to support and encourage ground-breaking artists who challenge and change photography. We present world-class exhibitions that explore issues such as identity, race, gender and politics. We showcase new and recent work, as well as historical photography outside the mainstream. We work with our communities and support learning at all levels.
We believe photography is for everyone. All our exhibitions and the vast majority of our events are free.

The first edition of Creative Earth Eco Fest is coming to the beautiful grounds of Cliffe Castle, Keighley, on Saturday 3 August from 12pm to 7pm.

I met Florence Farmborough at a family reunion in 1977. She was a remarkable woman and a great photographer. I am glad that you were able to give her this additional exposure.

What does it mean to be Scottish? Somebody is Scottish by blood/ ethnicity. They belong to a Scottish clan with a tartan and family crest/ coat of arms that goes back to original clans of the Norse Vikings and Scandinavians.
