My name is Alex S, I make bus content and I'm based in Southeast London.

Apologies, I didn't have time to edit this as I'm going away for some time.
I decided to visit the Fastrack bus system in Dartford to see how it is. It serves some residential areas and the buses run on normal roads but also on bus lanes, bus only roads and bus gates. The system is currently operated by Arriva Kent Thameside but will pass to Go-Ahead London in November.

I checked out route W5 on its first day of electrics. The W5 moved to Walthamstow Avenue (AW) from Ash Grove (HK) and the allocation changed from Optare Solos and 57/58 plate E200 to new Switch Metrocity EVs. The bus I was on was actually a bus for the 379. The Metrocities for the W5 are actually the 23 plate ones with the HCT interior.

Apologies, I couldn't record much, there were some people talking to each other for part of the journey, plus there were a few people but the bus being only 7.8m makes it look like there's a lot of people. W5's Solos have been withdrawn so W12 is the last route with Solos. W12 will be rerouted in September so we could also see these Solos go, plus electrics were ordered. Anyways, this is my fir...

What is a running day Because I saw many of these as well but did not know why?
Event run by London Bus Museum where old preserved buses run out onto the streets and onto specific routes. Earlier this year it happened on 62/145, yesterday it happened on 406, and later on in the year it will happen on 61. (This has been my first bus event btw)
