yes, but what about adults with progressive vocabulary?
So do you have them use their AAC device at all to also voice or just this? Looking for additional ways to engage my learners who use AAC devices with UFLI
Yes, absolutely! Have them use their device if they can. This video is about adapting it for learners who don't have control over their arms/hands.
If you haven't checked them out already, Kate Ahern has adapted UFLI slides for learners who use AAC. www.aacvoices.org/ufli-resources.html
Great video! Do you know if there is a way to apply this setting to all buttons (cancel visit), to avoid spending 1 hour to every single button! Thanks in advance.
I reached out to Tobii Dynavox last year and asked this same question. They said that they specifically set it up to visit and that (sadly) there is no easy way to change this. I hope they will consider making this an option in future updates to improve user experience.
FYI, I love this video.

This was so helpful, thank you!
Hello is there a way to check how many words a child can use. For example change word60 to word80 or more? Thank you
Hi @laporsche3306 Sorry, I didn't see your comment until now! Talk to your SLP because there are many factors to consider and they can help. The general rule of thumb is that you want to have as many buttons on the screen as the learner can accurately touch and see. WP60B is a typical starting point for young learners (age 3-5) but is used with some older learners too. WP60B has more symbol support than WP80 and above, which means there are more symbols on buttons which is helpful for learners who can't yet read the button labels. WP80 and above has a fewer symbols and many buttons with labels only.. which means you need some literacy skills. I like to transition students from WP60B to using WP108 with keyboard as soon as they start spelling a bit and recognizing some of the core words in print. Another benefit to WP108 with keyboard is that it has great grammar buttons for past tense, present tense, and plural -s. More buttons on the page generally means less time navigating.. and more efficient communication :) Talk to your SLP and they can help to guide you based on the specific needs of your child.
What is the different between cancel visit and extend visit
Thanks for sharing your spreadsheet!
my pleasure!
How did you remove the grid lines over the photo?
Menu--> settings --> scroll down to "buttons" and toggle off "show grid"
