Trying the new 2024 MVP Open Discs
Went to the local disc golf course to try out three of MVP Discs new discs from their MVP Open 2024 Drop. Got to try out the new Streamline Proton Soft Parachute, Streamline Proton Shift and the Axiom Discs Proton Soft Tempo.

hole 5, craighead yellow. i throw a supreme plastic Emac truth here. (and for most the other holes there). but nice throw👍
@@branvely5952 yes! F9 is pretty manageable to get away with throwing a mid on almost all the shots.

Tree courses are the best……and the worst. Looks like almost every NC disc course. Frustrating, but always interesting and challenging. Thank you for the video.
I think that I prefer tree courses over wide open courses given that I don't have the biggest distance yet. It's always a different round every time in a tree course depending how many trees you hit. Thank you for watching!

what should I do to make it not a foot fault?
Imo, just don't step putt. I think it's just really hard to time it perfectly, and it doesn't really give me more power than standing still. Yours may not be foot faults, but it's very close
@@TylerBrand_DG I'm still trying to figure out how to get more pop on my putts around 40 ft. always manage to baby them so this is what was easier for me. But I agree with you! trying to get away from it, and it can be done, look at gannon lol
@jose.discgolf I think if you feel more confident with the step putt, you should keep doing it. You might get called on it in tournament play, though. Just make sure you release the disc before your foot hits the ground
Id say the forehand is a bit shortened of a stroke. Maybe more follow-through as well as potentially a further reach-back
From all the reviews I've seen the blue MD4s seem to be less overstable than other colors. Appreciate the side profile 😊

As a 13 yr old kid right handed I’m gonna throw a flippy wraith around the second tree to the left forehand and the land looks skippy so I’ll hope for the best tunnels aren’t my thing I don’t have enough power to keep it going straight for a long time

Md4 was a much needed disc for discmania. Ozone seems like a neutral flyer. Definitely both are worthy
@@Discinforchicken md4 went straight into the bag! No more looking for stable md3s; and the ozone is a fun disc to play with. Really will come down to the smoothness you throw it with.

Good use of that bird. But why do you putt like that? It always seems like cheating when I witness it in person.
@@ryryry1 really just varies person to person. I don’t putt like this all the time outside of circle 1! A lot of the times I got to a straddle putt.
I’m all about the firebird. My first ace using one… and my go to disc overall
@@chrisrock364 it’s such a versatile disc, especially once it’s beaten.
@@jose.discgolf it really is. Very predictable and forgiving. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it slows down quite a bit , the more it’s beaten. Even trade though IMO.
@@chrisrock364 yeah that’s true! I like the slightly different flight that the Firebird and Thunderbird give you.
@@jose.discgolf I’ve not thrown a thunderbird. What sort of flight do you get from it, in comparison?
@@chrisrock364 essentially it’s just a beat in Firebird with way more glide. Still has that very dependable finish at the end.

I find it hard to believe you were trying to throw that high line but apparently it worked. Music was trash.
@@mikepitts8470 it’s a flippy putter, I thought it was going to turn more and fly a little straighter so I wanted to get some air time under it. Just realized the music, I was in the middle of something when I clicked it. I’ll do better next time. 😂

I carry 20 discs, 18 throwing and 2 putting putters, reason #1 is because my bag wont hold much more, and reason #2 is it helps me eliminate any second guessing on which disc, and with that my rule is as soon as I stop trusting a disc its out of the bag so that helps out too.
