The track is extremely green! so much smoother, no mega bumps at the apex of 7 or the ultra sketchy high-speed bumps in 6. We're told that 3 is coming, but no date was given.

those gear grinds lol
Lost my clutch in Race 1, and I am an ape and trashed my 2nd/3rd syncros trying to get it back in gear. Made it through the weekend though - going to rebuild the TKX over the winter
great lap! nice driving!
18:50 The Porsche's line through that corner seems way less pinchy than the one that you have been running. I wonder if it's quicker
A race where you are defending a position or trying to get around a car in front is very, very different from a "Qualifying" style lap where you are trying to put down a fast time with an ideal line. I wasn't running a pinchy line regularly.
@@FlatBlack_240SX makes sense. Good driving out there
Were you flipping off your car or the BMW? 😄
That was me flipping off Jason Kanackry in the white BMW haha. He beat me in Track Mod at HMP in his Maclaren and he stuck one up the inside into Turn 4 so I was having a bit of fun with him. Good dude!
This looks like a blast. Plenty of room for mistakes. Nice driving.
First! Fun video, nice driving! 🏎🏎🏎
Looks like a lot of fun
Need to address the bump and it'd be perfect.
😂
slippery!
awesome! good wheeling too, jc , busy out there.
what place did you end up in this race?
Since I missed race 3 (ECU issue) I started from the back in 47th. Finished 36th!
Go bro!!!!!! 🎉
nice racin
Go go go !! that was awesome !!! Nice driving man
Thanks Collins!! That track is pretty intimidating and there was a lot of unneeded contact up ahead so I was just trying to make it through the weekend. I'd like to come back and attack the track some more :)
Does the gauge stop at 100, or do you think it was actually 100 psi?
Pegs at 100. I have a legit sensor coming that will plug into my aim dash over the CANBUS and will show real pressure readings
That would be great if you would give us a update/review of it working at the track
It is amazing! I mounted the module near my hip, and you can hear it click when it's working, which is great audible feedback for low-grip sections of the track. At an event in September, I could hear it clicking through a high speed corner where I was trail braking just slightly to get weight on the nose of the car, and I could hear it activating ABS as the unloaded/inside tire was trying to skid. I never would have heard that skid without ABS and the functionality is super effective. I can focus on my corner entry and other inputs now that I don't have to hyper-focus on the corner entry and listen very closely for a skidding tire.
Hi ! i already have an s13 Silvia with ABS ( crappy ) , so does it mean the installation is a lot simpler ? I also have GKtech diff cover with provision for dual 300zx sensor not sure ?
I'm not sure what the OEM ABS tone rings look like on the front of an S13 but yeah I'm using OEM S14 hubs/ABS rings and OEM G35/37 rear sensors on ABS-ring-5-bolt axles (from a Z32). It should be much easier. I've heard the 90s Nissan stuff is 3-channel, do you have 3 lines coming out of your brake master cylinder or just 2?
@@FlatBlack_240SX yes oem is 2 sensor in front and one on diff input shaft. i have 2 lines coming out of MC and going to the ABS module .
@@FlatBlack_240SX i think that would be the best way to go for me as well . I think the 350z sensor are bolt-on for my diff cover and i would just need to machine fit Dual tone ring on my 6 bolt axle ( s15 helical read diff )
@@th1_s138 Well that should simplify things a little bit - you shouldn't have to redo your brake master lines or the front wheel brake lines from the ABS module. You'll probably have to add a line to one of your rear wheels if it's a single line to the rear with a split near the rear subframe like mine was.
How similar was it compared to real life? Planning to do my 1st track event there and want to practice on my sim first lol
Daniel, we spent months making sure it was accurate! I wish I had this back before my first track day out there :)
✔️ P R O M O S M
Are you using 3/16 line from the master or 1/4? The thread on grm says to use 1/4 but I'm stuck with 3/16 because of my fitting sizes
My whole car is 3/16 - the line size shouldn't matter.
what kind of power is that making?
It's an unmodified GM crate engine LS3. They call it the 376/525 - Mine hasn't been on the dyno yet but they usually make ~475 wheel
@@FlatBlack_240SX amazing!
@@FlatBlack_240SXmakes sense hitting 122 on the straight. I can barely hit 104 on my best runs (330 whp)
Why did you even make a video you didn't show anything you showed the old one said you knocked the bolt though then showed the new one all ready installed youless video
Interesting fact/update: I am converting from 48 tooth tone rings to the OEM Nissan 46 tooth tone rings. I drove my car with the 46T rear rings and 48T front rings and it worked just fine, so I guess you don't even necessarily need to match the tone ring teeth count, as long as they are close. I assume this is for tire diameter differences, and other total tire height variables.
How do you like the abs?
I love it. If you listen closely you can hear it actuating on the slower corners, like 5 and 6. The biggest advantage is taking mental load off so I can focus on driving.
U joint on the drive line likely.
Nope. Axles and driveshaft are fine. Suspect a broken ring or pinion gear
@@FlatBlack_240SX bummer. A Ujoint would have been a cheaper and easier fix. It sure sounded like a drive shaft flopping around. But I'm no mechanic, so what do I know. 🤣
@@williamgrissom1995 Luckily I have spares! haha. Just glad I didn't oil down the track
@FlatBlackable, Did you have part number of this sensors?
No, I got them from the junkyard but I believe this is it for the fronts: www.amazon.com/Front-SENSOR-Replacement-Nissan-Maxima/dp/B09F3L3JY8/ the rears are off a G35/G37 diff cover
I have a habit of watching any video that RUclips recommends with less than 1000 views. It is my way of helping the smaller channels!. Keep ot up
Great vid! Just got a module for my subaru and following the same principle and thanks for the vid as there is not much out there Just a Q on the data you are getting from the k-line can data, what are you using to read that data (i see you referenced a kline obd reader cable) but wht software are you using to see the wheel speeds etc? Im going to be wiring in speeds etc to a digital dash but want to be able to test all of this first before i do that kind of wiring Thanks mate
The software is called "INPA" - from what I understand, it is a reverse engineered and English language translated version of a BMW diagnostic software. There are links on BMW forums, you'll need to Google "INPA download" to find a currently hosted version
@@FlatBlack_240SX thanks mate
Great overview! Does the rht setup also have abs warning light?
Yes, the RHT harness has a labelled wire for the ABS warning light, but there are also diagrams for the harness pinout (check the links in the description) if you want to DIY it
Confirmed today that the Yaw sensor is not required for ABS to function
Excited to see the results on track!
Very nice playground !!!
what suspension/coilovers you running? whp? I'm trying to build this myself
What are you trying to build?
This looks extremely fun!
How you fix?
Looks good out there
Let's go for a rip next time you're down here! I can get on that track whenever I want now :)
Do you have a video for pitman arm replacement?
Do you have a video for pitman arm as well?
Any idea what went wrong with the engine?
Either got it too hot (having radiator issues) or oil starved it (having blowby/PCV issues). It definitely rod knocked across the line, I shut it off and coasted towards the pit lane
Car looks rowdy.
Sounds like you want more power. How bout a little wuhan whistler on your daily?
Couple of Nagasaki Noisemakers might let me keep up with that pesky M2! But it's honestly perfect for what it is
Run looked pretty good, car is quick. Nice driving.
Hearing you yell at the car is great lol
Rowdy
Gotta have a light touch in drying conditions ^_^
where did you go exactly at Beaver Lake?
