Tbh. Hard to justify alliance with him anyway. And his boss fight is easy if you both take out his minions and empowering features of room first.

@@graceplayz6476 The way Astarion looked back like WTH was that lol.
In one of my playthroughs I opted to keep the alliance with Gortash, but then attack and kill him after he told me to meet him at the Morphic Pool. I then decided not to take his netherstone. It turns out I did not need it. My two netherstones united to become a Triune Netherstone once I got to where we were supposed to find him.
Cool vid! I haven't fought Raphael yet. I've just been playing for a month but this is why I keep Astarion in my party at all times aside from the fact I always romance him. He is the epitome of the sneaky archer! 😂

hmm that's weird -- did you have the oathbreaker knight in your camp?
Or you could just have Gale, Lae'zel and Halsin in your party and trigger the kidnap cut scene? That also works, avoids a lot of redundancy.
@@coffee_junky yes you can, but I read somewhere that Minty can also get kidnapped, I’m not sure so just to make it safe😅
@@graceplayz6476 A friend of mine really just had Astarion, Laezel and Shadowheart in his camp in the first playthrough. Simply becaue he missed recruiting the others. All 3 were with him, so Yenna got kidnapped. If you don't have enough companions to be kidnapped, you still have her xD I think it's rather common, lol
no bc this is a cursed fail safe. I'll let my own get kidnapped to save yenna.

How do you do that???
Spoiler: Down in the Underdark, there's a dog's grave that you can dig up. Inside is the dog's collar. Bring it back to the abandoned mage's tower, and then wear it while pressing the button. Basically, the mage created a little magical setup so that when the dog, wearing the collar, pressed the button, it would dispense some food (a raw steak) for the dog. It's just a fun little easter egg, although feel free to imagine more fun things you could use a tingling collar for. ;P
haha yes like Zaxares said, and just more detailed locations: the grave is past the sussux tree, at the edge of that location where you can see the mage's tower (also past one of the locations you could encounter the bulette). And the button is on the floor below the robots in the tower. :)
