This is a really positive spin on the Tricities as opposed to a more balanced view. Tricities on average isn't providing jobs with high enough income for the average home and current rent prices will makes sure you stay that way. You know a city is very limited when one of the first things mentioned is traveling away from the city. While it is true the Tricities is expanding rapidly, it's also true that it is doing so in an unsustainable way such that in 30 to 50 years the infrastructure currently being built out in these low density suburbs will need more maintenance than the cities will be able to afford which historically has meant raising property tax which is already quite high.

The worst thing about here is they spray aluminum aerosol in the skies almost every day, and it blocks the sun. It’s not a conspiracy. The CIA has told us about it. It’s called stratospheric aerosol injection. Solar radiation management it’s a $10 billion thing year and it’s ridiculous totalitarian insanity. You have to take a ton of vitamin D when they block up the sun.

I moved here 33 years ago at age 36 , I love it, now retired. I would not move back to Texas if you gave me a home there . This is heaven on earth. No softball size hail , tornadoes, 600 dollar light bills and 300 dollar water bills. My utilitlies here are cheaper now in a 2200 square foot home then they were in Texas in the 1980's with a 1200 square foot home. Wages is another great wages and good health care.

Your videos are always so informative. One thing would be helpful for people outside the area is for you to note what towns are nearby, especially in relation to Kennewick, Pasco, Richland. Other than that, your videos are perfect. 👍👍👍

Many food processing plants have been attacked and burnt down across the country. Including chickens, cows etc. Very sad. I hope they are able to rebuild and continue on doing a very important job. Thank you for your helpful video's much appreciated.

Pasco has the best police department of all the Tri-Cities. They do their job and don't sluff off calls! West Pasco is very nice. I wish I lived in Pasco instead of Kennewick.

If you want more fun facts about our area, here they are. Did you know one of the greatest cinematographers of the golden time of Hollywood, James Wong Howe, grew up in Pasco. His love of photography started there. I found this out just a few weeks ago that Dashiell Hammett(writer of the "Maltese Falcon" and many more great books) based his Joel Cairo- Peter Lorre character from the book/movie on a person he arrested for forgery while working as a Pinkerton detective in Pasco in 1920. It's under the movie Maltese Falcon in Wikipedia in the production notes. I got a big kick out of that. About the wind here, it's not as bad as it used to be when there was a lot of desert to our west and the dirt got kicked up. I've lived here most of my life but stayed to help with my families rental properties. If you know anyone looking for a two bedroom apt, I have a few open. Sorry this text is so long. It's very cold in the winter, very hot in the summer but at least it's brown, dead lava flow desert year round. The real upside is the flourishing local methamphetamine market.

Thank you so much for this excellent presentation on the pros and cons of living in the Tri Cities. My family and I lived in Richland (& West Richland) from 1970 to about 1988, and we really loved the quality of life there. I am considering moving back to Tri Cities, from Albuquerque, NM which is my home town. Unfortunately, Albuquerque has really bad crime problems, lack of police services & responsiveness, a growing homeless population, and shortages of doctors and healthcare professionals. I would appreciate you doing a future video covering aspects of crime issues (and the safest neighborhoods) in the Tri Cities, availability & responsiveness of police and emergency services, availability of healthcare facilities.

I was born and raised here in kennewick and worked in all 3 cities, heres the honesty: starter homes are well over $400k unless youre getting a crack house Nothing to do, if you have kids or a teenager they will be bored, theres literally nothing Crime has gotten so out of hand its insane, numerous violent crimes spring up in the news each month, my car has been broken into at my different apartments more times than I have fingers Racism definetely exists and im speaking as a white man Its either too hot with our summers going well into the 110° or too cold going into the negatives Its not worth living here unless youre a real estate agent or working for hanford, if you arent doing either of those you wont be able to save money Lots of dry heat and smoke with nearby fires People dont know how to drive here, i lived in yakima for a little over a year at one point and never saw an accident, over here people are swerving in and out of lanes constantly A ton of passive aggresive people a ton of karens Homelessness is getting so out of hand its insane, its like california dropped off a bunch of meth heads in kennewick and pasco Cost of living has sky rocketed because people from seattle moved here cause its not as bad as there and people from california moved here because its not as bad as there, causing big corporations to buy out apartment complexs and doubling prices. I had a 1 bedroom apartment go from $600 a month straight to $1470 under new management about 4 years ago. People ive talked to have rent over $2k a month Bills: Gas prices currently: $3.70 My rent 2 bedroom apartment is going to be going up to $1700 in a few months Electricity $80-$100 depending on time of year This place sucks, id rather live in idaho but i cant save the money to move my family there with how expensive it is here, people i have met who moved here all end up hating it the only good thing i like is the fishing season and thats it.

Public transportation that nobody uses and bike paths that nobody uses, it's rare to see anybody utilizing any of these amenities. Except for of course in the Parks. You didn't even mention rattlesnake mountain and it being the tallest mountain in the world without trees. That would have been a fun piece of information for your video. The wind is a fun aspect of the Tri-Cities, where else can you see a tumbleweed twister? The wind storms used to be a lot funner 20 years ago but now there are grape Orchards everywhere. It keeps all the dirt on the ground when the wind comes through. I miss looking up at Horse Heaven Hills and seeing a wall of dirt coming at us because of the wind. 😕
