It's a viewport setting in Blender called "Cavity". It helps me to better see the topology. It's an out-of-the-box feature in Blender. Hope that helps! Best, Matt

Not sure if I get the question right, but the planes are meant to be part of the same object, as we'll later use a solidify modifier to give all of the planes some thickness. Although they look like separate objects, they are just multiple planes/faces of the same object, directly edited in edit mode. Let me know if this helps, if not let me know and I'm happy to take another look.

Press [TAB] to enter edit mode. Press [1] for vertex selection. Select all lower vertices. Press [s], followed by [z] and then [0]. (s to scale, z to only scale the z-axis, 0 to make them flat). Good luck!

Try downloading the scene on my website dunkingdoggames.com. Then play around with the lights. I'd add a fire for some strong color contrast.

I did it. Just added both night and day with a light attached to the moon and so on with sun. Fun and easy. Took me 1 hour. I'm a beginner. Looked at it and said I could do it in 10 minutes 😅

You can use your mouse-wheel to increase/decrease the number of loop cuts!

Yeah I know that but how did it work on both sides equally? you had already moved the first loop cut. As far as I know you can only create loop cuts on either side of the already existing loop cut.@@PolyBench

They are from a free asset pack by Kenney called Mini Dungeon. The game was originally made as part of a game jam where only Kenney assets were alllowed. I plan to replace some by my own models as I continue developing this.
