While releasing on an open date is important I doubt they delay the game that much just to find the perfect release window. Games and developers don't follow this logic because once a game is ready you can't just hold it for convenience because devs need to continue being payed and your game is making $0. See how BG3 decided to release anyway in the same window as Starfield. Both massive AAA games but you gotta take it when you gotta take

I'm so ready to uninstall overwatch. All I ask for is a game with decent matchmaking. OW used to have decent matchmaking but they ruined it in OW2, now both OW and Apex are "queue with friends or we're gonna give you bronze team mates". OW2 just sucks as a game anyway. CS/valorant style game isn't for me, I like to move.

Was excited for this and XDefiant as free shooters, but in my opinion, XDEFIANT is dog water. The Finals is SICK! Recently tried The First Descendant and it's a great looter shooter that'll be free. I hope they release The Finals soon.

You forgot about the other 3 next gen shooters coming out at the end of 2023. I would consider those bigger competition than any of the games you listed. If you're still playing cod today you're just a casual gamer and I wouldn't expect you to try any of these new shooters coming

The Finals is free to play so that's a big advantage over the other shooters.
