In the entire History of the Olympic Games, in Men's Swimming at the Olympic Games, the 50 and 100 meter Freestyle distances at one single Olympics, only Three won, Matt Biondi (Seoul 1988), Caleb Dressel (Tokyo 2020), Alexander Popov (Barcelona 1992) (Atlanta 1996). but Popov did it on Dressel and Biondi's home territory, in their homeland.

Caleb is more athletic!!
like a dolphin
That's also faster than my 25m.. fuckin Dressel
learn to jump in the water
that’s the odome at the university of florida
God loves you guys!!!
God loves you guys!!!
lol couldnt get that extra .1 of a meter
Dude just slept over water 🌊
What is this FPS beuh 😐
The next year, Conger set the new American record, and kicked schooling's ass, by about 5 seconds.
Schooling has some of the best starts and reaction times
Nice
How do you do that
+0.1 (please)
What's so hard about that. I do that all day long.
Let's see the footage ;)
@@SwimmingClips first of all you need a strong core for holding in streamline that long and you have to make sure your dive was good and balanced so you can stay in the middle of the lane without any underwater kicks and then you need to be able to hold your breath for that long and then you need to have a very good dive that will start you off the blocks better and not many people in the world can do all of that above and reach 24.9m so I don't know who the hell DAN M. is but you gotta think before you speak
Lmao okay
Lmao okay
Everyone: very impressive yes that core line is held tight Me:'o' he wen far
omg i cant believe he died and the guy kept filming 😧
Underrated comment😂
Fart for that extra boost
I am surprised that he floats
@@carson2040 bc his body fat percentage is extremely low
@@carson2040 yeah, and I am surprised by that. When I swam when I was in school, I sank like a stone.
Low fat percentage doesn’t correlate to greater flotation. It’s how dense your body is. As a matter of fact, fat floats better than muscle.
can you imagine if he did that in an olympic race
@Karen Xian unless it’s the 100 breast
He'd lose AND be disqualified
He wouldn’t disqualify
@brunobbigdongzhongyou can stream line past the 15, your head just has to break the surface of the water before the 15 meter mark
pretty sure he went that last 25 no breath 🥶
i admire dressel and the great swimmer he is but..... ruclips.net/video/VbVv7yZ1EWc/видео.html
That’s more like 15m instead of 24.9m as per the title
Nah this was done in a 50 meter pool so he got to just under half way (24.9 meter) off the start
He crosses 15m at 0:07
It’s a 50 meter pool
Drifting by laying flat on the water doesn’t count. And even when he drifted, that’s still not remotely close to 25m
@@GlobalPenguin2012 Well lets see. He entered the water at the 5m mark (which is crazy I don't know how he does that), got out at around 13m and glided all the way to 24.9m
😳😳😳😳
🤔
ruclips.net/video/DvH5R9m_nQE/видео.html
Present world record , in 60 seconds, 26.4 metres
Back in the 50s , in Lancashire UK, our school gala and inter school matches used to include a “plunge “ distance competition
Used to be an Olympic event in the early days. Was considered unathletic, so they eliminated it
@@tylerkochman1007 how exactly is it unathletic 😅
Why didn't they just say 25 meters?
he took a breath just before his hands reached the 25m point
I Knew Right......My Math Teacher Gonna Mad Seeing this
Because it was only 24.9
Idk I guess they like to be really specific.
To me 24.9 meters would draw my attention more because it’s so close to the halfway point
It needs very strong core strength to keep streamline without kicking.
No it doesn’t
@@ava3910 I’ve been in competitive swimming for 17 years now, the last four I’ve been on a mid major division I ncaa team, but nice try

Time
omg
ufff! muy buena prueba, felicidades!!
When you know you have the speed you just stick to the race plan Thats why he won in Rio Everyone else went out to hard He was 7th at the turn because hes a smart kid and listened to his coach Its hard to negative split on the back end when you go out too hard in the first 50 Follow the race plan finish strong weather you are sprinting or going for endurance if you go out to hard you will faid There is no medal for turning first This kid is wise beyond his years
This is kind off true, except that this tactic wouldn't work for anyone. take someone like Caeleb Dressel, I don't think going out slower would work for him. Most people do go out to hard though.
@@verward Any athlete worth his or her salt knows that that you train follow the process and have a race plan I, even as a much older amateur former competitive swimmer learned along time ago you dont just turn up at the meet and go hard from the start regardless of distance trust in the process
@@barefootbeachrunner9498 It's a bit late but Caeleb Dressel does trust in the process 100%. His race plans have been the same since he was an age group swimmer. Gregg Troy has been mentoring the dude since his collegiate beginings and I don't think it's going to change in a long time.
Schooling was in the water first and had a better entry
Nico Montinola true
Nico Montinola looks like this was before Dressel started pulling with his arms on the blocks
Kyle Chalmers 👌
He was 18 when he won gold in 47.58 so 47 low is very realistic in the near future.
Think Chalmers will go under 47 this year. Just starting his campaign, and only 18 when he won gold at the Olympics..
Don't jinx him. Focusing on that derailed James Magnussen before injuries slowed him down.
47.08 already
