You have a tremendous over the top swing - backswing is ok - just need to stick your right elbow inside.

Yeah no problem. This was already mid round I believe, so My confidence level on chipping was great! Ha but what I’ve been doing is showing up to the course an hour before my Tee time. On the range I would work on contact as I chip. I use my 58 wedge, more weight on the left foot. I keep the loft on the wedge(don’t try and opening up the face.) a lot on “feel” comfortable doing the chipping motion ha If that makes sense 😅

@@esaavedra655watching lessons or even getting lessons would help immensly. don't go to the range just to go to the range. go with purpose, and learn. a few tips i would give you to help stop that swing motion is to stop pulling the club so much in your back swing. push it out to your right rather than pulling it with your right arm. this should make the club move in a more stable movement rather than being pulled(back swing), pushed(club gets too far out and above), then pulled again(club head slides from right to left, and hits the ball while traveling towards your left foot and causes the ball to spin sideways to the right.). one thing that will maybe help is using less power with your right arm. when you use your right arm a lot, you tend to cast(club head gets ahead of the hands at impact), and not hit the ball consistently. typically, you want your left arm to pull the grip towards the ground in your through swing, and compress the ball(i like to call it smacking it because its easier to think about than compressing) and hit down on it, and focus on hitting the top right corner of the ball with the bottom 3 grooves of the face. the game of golf is really hard because to better your swing, you need to learn the science behind it, and the physics of a golf shot. if you read anything read this: I can see you have the ability to compress the ball well, your swing just isnt allowing you to. because you are coming from right to left over the ball, it cannot compress properly, and if it does, it shoots left because of the way the club is moving. sorry i wrote a lot, but ive been in the same exact spot you were in and i wish someone wouldve wrote something like this for me too. hope this helps!

Makes sense ha, I felt that I did more of a sweeping shot than making actual contact. I’ve been doing fairly well with my 4 iron, so this slice was not the business 😂. Thank you though I will try that.

Little by little we will start with 9 holes haha. I need to buy her clubs and then I think she will really want to pick up the game. Anytime I’m outdoors with her it is great, no phones or TVs. More golf to come ha

lol not going to lie the course has on some holes gotten better but for price, I can’t complain ha.

I was in a tournament so I had the chance to play here. I’m in the SGV so this was an hour drive for me ha. But yes not all fairways were great. Greens were nice tho.
