Hi Isaac , a full circle is not possible. Except when you cut the upstanding leg at 2 places to make it 2 half circles. If it can be done in 1" depends on the kind of material, the thickness and the radius.

Yes it did. This machine is cutting the seam. It is probably the only one who really can.

@@dracotools When cutting ducts I struggle with the seam, which coincidentally has been edited out from this video @0:16... Cutting the seam close to perpendicular works fine, as can be seen here when demonstrating cutouts, however for cutting ducts to length I've ended up making the starting hole close to the seam, cutting away from it and stopping when coming around to the seam again. I cut the seam itself with hand shears, since every attempt at cutting through with the machine has ended up with much swearing and having to trim off uneven bits with hand shears anyway. If I'm doing something wrong I'd love to know, but it seems to me that the seam is slightly too thick. Blade is brand new, having bought the machine 2nd hand with a broken blade.

@@koma-k Hi Ketil, there is a good side and a less good side of cutting spiro tubes. You should cut from the side the material goes up to the seam and not from the other side where you cut against the upstanding seam. If you know what I mean. Nevertheless the shear cuts from both sides, but sometimes, when cutting from the wrong side, the seam is splitting in it´s layers and pokes into the shear head. This is when you need more patience to get through the seam. Allow the shear a bit more time to cut these 4 layers. Concerning your "problem" we do have many different types of slitter shears. Maybe you are not using this type, but another one which is not for seam cutting. The right types for cutting seams are 3514-2 and 3514-7R. You wrote you bought the shear 2nd hand and you´ve put a new knife in it. Please check if you used the right shims and the knife has no play. It is not ok when the knife is too loose. A manual how to place the knife properly can be downloaded from our site.

Well, I have a problem with this kind of comment. They are not that expensive. You do not know our company, so I will give you a quick introduction. Our factory is located in Germany, we produce every single item in Germany in a very high quality and we are not a low-income country. Our employees receive a reasonable salary as it should be everywhere in the world and yes, these could be the reasons for a higher price, but do not forget, we are Germans and that means we are efficient. ;-) In Europe you can get a BKK25 under € 200 (ex tax). We send our products to dealers around the world, which means they pay freight charges, they need to stock items, deal with exchange rate fluctuation and they have to pay import taxes. Big issue these days! We as the manufacturer have no influence on these factors and the price a dealer charges at the end. Good for you that you can make your own tool, but do not leave unfair comments to scare off people.

Whenever we need something up here, if you can actually afford what you need, your sources are limited to the local Wal-Mart or Lowe's, and if they do not have it, you either learn to do without, or, you make it yourself. It's a shame that those who are wealthy or live in wealthy areas where they can obtain pretty much whatever they want look with scorn against those who most of the time have to live without, but living without is the driving force of ingenuity and invention; we're not limited by the mandates of others that tell us that we must have tool "A" for problem "B", and it only has these specific settings and no other, no, we simply look at the problem, tell our wife, "here, hold my beer," and we make our own to fit our needs. Hi Justin, this panformer can do stainless steel up to 0.5 mm. The guillotine shear can work up to 0.4 mm stainless. Once the panel has been seamed it is a regular standing seam roof.
